that would definitely be a possibility... but currently I have been unable to solve a problem that is preventing me from designing the AI of the Covert Ops general... meanwhile the AI of Tech and Hacker Generals work perfectly and Skirmish games can still allow you to play practice matches
as the mod is still in a relatively early stage of development, the design of the Generals Challenge has not yet been implemented. sry :(

ok i have to admit that it could be too powerful against tanks... i've changed the shutdown time to 1.5 seconds, such that the enemy tank is still able to fire or escape, but if horde bonus (5 or more Battlemasters together) is present, the shutdown effect would still be longer than the firing rate :) thx for voicing your concern, CommanderDef
its not very possible to implement the "20% chance to fire EMP shell" idea as i have no idea what code works for that... at the same time, i feel that the battlemaster has been balanced with lack of nuclear tanks, nuclear shells or nationalism.
complete counter?!?! if tankgen does a tank rush the hackgen stands no chance of surviving. theres a lot of weak sides for hackgen, such as substandard offensive capabilities compared to other china generals. believe me, the hackgen player will be relying more on stuff like Epic Lotus rather than spamming tanks
haha the original plan was to have both the ECM King and Battlemaster to have EMP Shell upgrade... now its just the Battlemaster
... settle the battlemaster first, this resizing can be done in 5 minutes
umm the original design for ecm king was already big haha, but im sure nobody minds a little comic relief XD
we realised emp shells for ecm king was too imba, so we made it an upgrade that the Battlemaster can have

As the leader of the team of the mod, i promise anyone and everyone reading this that the USA Covert Ops General will eventually be made... the slow progress this year, as i've mentioned, is because my core team and I are having major exams, and as for the next 1 year or so, we will be in National Service. we can't possibly be coding guns while we are... holding real guns can we??? XD
i guess different games have different ways to mod them. for cnc zh, even notepad is enough to make the simplest mods. other tools such as string editors and archive extractors/compilers serve to enhance the mod. the most important thing when making a mod, i feel, is to have the patience to try and understand the code and tweak it, even if we know very little about how the game codes work.
more than anything else, the team wants a modeler so that we can have original models. we are sick of using public models

oh about that... this strength is offset as the Epic Lotus is unable to hack cash from supply centers or disable vehicles :)

i think it's already immobile while disabling something, just like the existing ECM Tank.

bad news: its going to be the main offensive unit for China Hacker General, and probably the only useful one, since the (spoiler) Epic Hackers and Epic Lotus would usually be utilised for the sneaky tactics (end of spoiler) XD
yes erm, the mod has fixed that particular issue
although you can't run 2 mods at the same time - the ROTLG mod doesn't work that way...
:) for the umpteenth time, it is addable, workable, and compatible with ALL OTHER MODS :) :) :) the gattling tank was a joke btw, it was just an epic shot of how the GLA Tech AI fails to protect its own rebel

yeah, the AI continuously hurts itself using its own nuke trucks. No choice, with great power comes great responsibility (in controlling the nuke trucks) LOL
