Well, it looks almost EXACTLY like the Cardassian space stations shown in Deep Space 9.
If it's not based consciously on that design, that just goes to show strange minds think alike, but to people who don't know the similarity isn't intentional it will look like a huge rip-off.
If you've already taken that into account, my apologies!
So far this looks like it will turn out absolutely wonderful. Tracking this like mad.
Just out of curiosity, are alien civilizations one of the things that could be randomly generated in a new map?
Those directional thrusters are awesome, brilliant idea!
Bravo! The care shown in the designs is very encouraging.
Out of curiosity, why are the launch bays pointed upwards?
I think the Council races are the 'best', as in I like their wide variety of peoples, religions, goals and abilities. That plus they are astoundingly kind to new members, even humans who pretty much the moment they join start whining about how they ought to be making decisions on a galactic scale. They have a vast array of ship types that each have a dedicated task that together makes for a powerful force, not in the service of any one leader or a speciest ideology like Cerberus, or for obliterating and harvesting all organic life in the galaxy like the Reapers, but for the uplifting and strengthening of all to build a better universe.
Ha! I haven't gotten that far in the series(still going through the first book), but that sounds quite intriquing. I wasn't being serious, really, just making a riff on how in Mass Effect 2 the leader of Cerberus excuses every horrible and sickening thing his employees have done with "Oh, that was just a rogue cell!". It got the point where it seemed like he was an imbecile leading a group where 9 out of ten of his people were in rogue cells.
Clearly then the Fenachrone were a rogue cell of the larger Frenacon whole, mis-saying their name in order to hide their tracks.
I love the little skyscrapers near the aft! Very nice touch.
Overall, this does a lot to give the Trade Alliance their own style, and looks like a cool ship besides!
I'm personally opposed to Cerberus being anywhere near the power they are in the series, if only because it tears the 'humans are a fairly new power the galaxy' theme of the first game to pieces, but this is grand work!
I especially love the Excalibur Station model, it looks almost as beautiful as it did in its cutscene.
