Hmm. I can see a quality increase, but it's not near the difference of the Imperial Warrior for example, and the left Buster actually looks thicker than the right one, probably thanks to the colour. I will have to see this in-game before judging it.

He actually is "thicker", as the armour and the way the pants are is bulkier than before. The Tankbuster has always had a stocky profile, and I pushed it a little to heighten the contrast between him and the new, much more slight and noodle-y Imperial Warrior.

Well, since according to their story the Tank Busters are much bulkier and muscular (due to their equipment) the change to give him a wider profile makes sense to me. It is indeed less noticable and I struggled at first to find out which one is the new one. I do notice you didn't change the gun. Will you streamline it more or leave it as is? My main concern with it is that the skin looks crappy as hell.

It's hard to do anything with the skin due to the way it's unwrapped; I basically just ran a sharpen over it, put an aperture in the barrel, and called it a day.

Looks great! And I wouldn't worry about the skin, since when are you going to see a Tankbuster's skin anyway? His hat pretty well obscures his head, and let's just say he's wearing gloves (after all, who would wield a plasma cutter bear-handed!?)

I meant texture on the gun (skin is another word for texture in 3d modelling)

Description

The revised Tankbuster (minus his heroic Wave-Force Lance) and the original.

Model revisions are fairly light; added a hose connecting his gun to his backpack, separated his vest from his body to remove flexing, popped the armour sections a bit, rebuilt his shoulders and torso under it, reduced hand and foot size slightly, added goggles, and made his pants into the traditional loose Samurai-style garb. I increased the number of sides on his hat, too, and flattened it, which should make it look more natural; an eight-sided shape for a feature that large wasn't cutting it.
