Hi raics,

Report - Possible Bug:

At Quincy,

Steffie entered Level 9 but can't pick her third Perk. Other squad members (Main Char, David, Eldora, Farsight, Stitch) also got to Level 9 and all got to choose their respective third perks.

Thank you. Nice to know.

In this mod, does HtH Evade require both weapon slots to be empty to function?

P.S.
Tagged Unarmed, Big Guns, Sneak since I was planning to later use a Big Gun for one slot and Unarmed for the other. I'm almost at Level 8, the minimum required level. Gambled on a glass cannon:

Gifted
Kamikaze

ST 10 PE 8 EN 2 CH 2 IN 7 AG 10 LK 8

so I was hoping high Evasion can make up for poor HP while still being able to shoot guns.

Good Morning!

On HtH Evade:

Does it work as intended?

Does the Armor Class bonus still apply when equipping ranged?

Hello again raics!

Logged in for this,

So delighted today to discover the mod has been updated and is well and alive in 2021! You don't know how many sleepless nights this particular mod gave me last year. I just might go for another playthrough soon.

Thank You Very Much

Hello, best mod for the game by far.

A Question:

What is the recommended difficulty setting when playing with this mod?

(I'm playing on Suicidal and it takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours for me to finish each side mission with core units intact)

Does it really affect critical chance against robots?

Thanks. I've been looking at your Energy Weapons file in the Spoilers folder but I can't tell which ones are big enough..

Aside from the Gatling Laser, what are the other 'Big' Energy Weapons?

Hello raics,

Just finished Osceolla and now have Super Mutant recruits.

It seems Toni is unable to use the Laser Rifle or Laser Pistol despite having tagged Energy Weapons.

Are there other requirements? (She has a Strength of 8 and Energy Weapons at 134%)
Or is it broken because Super Mutants don't have animations for using them?

Hello again!

Like to ask, how much Sneak skill do you really need to safely plant dynamite at an enemy's behind?
Already have one with over 160% but he still often gets detected..
I always play at nighttime, make him crawl, etc.
Do I have to make it 200%?

Hello again Mr. raics.

Thanks for all the help so far..
Just finished the hardest part of the game, defending the Kansas City cathedral..

Just want to confirm if the perk Silent Death really works.
Is there double damage from unarmed weapons like the Katar, Bladed Gauntlet, etc.?
Or does it have to be naked hands and feet?

Happy Easter Mr. raics..

Saw your spoilers on Random Encounters.
Can I still find the Field Clinic on the same spot when two different encounters (the Goo Pond, and the Farmer) were triggered and are occupying the same space where it's supposed to be found?

Thanks. I'll be sure to try having a sapper in the next playthrough..

My main one's doing fine but any sniper build will always be second to one-eyed Dillon. I'm now in St. Louis, will try to complete the nonobjective of clearing the 'operations center,' where I remember being eaten up by the notorious M2 Brownings (quick killers even back in vanilla). You surely gave them different names now but I'm also hoping for some reward for clearing the place since I've always played your mod just until Springfield and only now have I gone further.

The game runs at a slower pace (which is good) when ensuring that squad members cover each other on the move and find good positions before initiating combat. Playing on Individual Turn Based more than half the time now.

The game is hard, especially for those new to the mod, it would be suicidal to do things the same way in vanilla. But in a way, when the setup is just right, things are much easier and also more rewarding.

My perfect example would be in the defense of Quincy's Ghoul Quarter, which I always save for last when playing that mission. With all the weapons now more lethal, here the Beastlords, dogs, and Deathclaws just mindlessly run to their deaths. That used to be one of the hardest parts in the game for me since the squad isn't fully developed yet, some suicidal idiot ghoul with just a pistol keeps charging out front, and it's a pre-Dillon mission.

That Abbott and Costello routine would fit perfectly between the music in some Radio Mod/s for Fallout 3 or New Vegas, maybe you can consider it if you're into modding those games too.

You're alive!

How timely, just finished Springfield.

Truly the main challenge is to perform below par for the first missions, 7 in my case. Had to rely on Farsight for ranged combat and Hannegan and Rondok's ammo-saving running amok bloodbaths. Let's just say I'd like to think my main character was 'finishing' firearms training in the field so gradually, he 'evolved' from pistolboy to shotgunner to rifleman.

Started with Small Guns at 55%.
5 books and 7 missions later, it's 137%.
Before the final battle at Springfield Town Hall, finally decided to spend some skill points and jacked it up to 201%. Should have done so at Mardin where the last book was found. Anyway, it's a fine decision after so many restarts and I recommend it to all.

About your sapper style, I think I read a thread of yours years ago about yourself playing with one that eventually got killed after planting explosives. And you didn't reload, that's hardcore. Do you sappers use Steal on targets or do you just drop the bombs at their feet? Is Steal tagged? And if Steal matters what is the optimal % value for it?

Exactly! Previous playthroughs showed it went from 100 to 115, 115 to 129, then 129-136 or 137 if I can recall, can't remember how much after maybe 141.

Assuming you do it too, do you personally have a magic number for tagged skills? Any ideal range before reading all the books? Like 91-95 or 96-100?

On allocating skill points: Would it be more efficient to hold off adding points to Small Guns and instead read Guns and Bullets books until a certain level? As we all notice, reading books for skills over 100% gives less percentage points, but does is it proportional? Meaning do I get the same total amount if I just added to it right from the first level-up?

Have usually delayed adding points for the main character (with Small Guns tagged) until Quincy after reading a total of 4 Guns and Bullets magazines

For the curious, they are found in:
1. Start of the game
2. sold by Shauri - Bunker Alpha
3. Kain - Bunker Bravo
4. Preoria - in a metal desk

Good Evening!

Playing this essential mod once again!

An issue on skills: Would it be more efficient to hold off adding points to Small Guns and instead read Guns and Bullets books until a certain level? As we all notice, reading books for skills over 100% gives less percentage points, but is it proportionate enough? I mean, do I get the same total amount if I just added to it right from the first level-up?

I have the GOG version.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, it's still there, even before starting a new game, the options descriptions that are highlighted by the cursor kept flashing.

I think its related to inefficient memory or CPU usage by the game because it didn't happen when I closed the Firefox browser. It seems to hog alot of CPU power as seen in the Task Manager, like over 90%. It was also flashing when I was just running Windows Media Player in the background.

I'm still observing, just finished Brahmin Wood, and will continue without other programs running, so far no flashing. But any suggestions? Like a program to make the game run more efficiently?

Hello once again Mr. raics and anyone else,

Would greatly appreciate help with this one.

Found a terrible bug with the interface.

Certain texts keep flashing.
Normally when opening inventory, leaving the mouse cursor on an item for less than a second reveals its name, and generally leaving the cursor on other things.

In my current game, the names keep flashing on and off and this also happens with the number showing the AP cost to move in squad turn-based or individual turn-based mode which is very inconvenient.

Tried restarting the game and then the computer but it still happens. I even started a whole new game coincidentally. But this flashing happened often even before that.

Even the text that comes out in Options flashes, for examples: when you leave the cursor on Insane Difficulty ("for psycopaths") and Maximum Blood ("Let the blood flow").

No increase in accuracy.

Good Evening again!

On the Sharpshooter perk:

Description ends with - "...The bonus will still apply even if the perception score is at your racial maximum."

A Human Character has a Perception of 12 (+2 from Ranger perk), will he still get the +2 PE bonus for "determining range" when he gets Sharpshooter? Or is it absolutely capped?

Hello again,

Reporting a bug:
Can't get Ninja perk even when I have the requirements
(Level 12, Sneak 150, AG 8).

Character is Level 12, Sneak at 155%, and AG 9
What else is needed?

Good karma+1 vote

OnionHeads - - 50 comments @ Equilibrium

Thanks, I'll increase that skill then.

Nice to see points aren't wasted.

That is exactly why I'm aiming for 150% Outdoorsman to get Ranger (Perception +2) for my PER 10 main character who already has Sharpshooter. I hope the darkness thing for Ninja gets fixed.

Leveling takes some time because I keep reviewing your chart, thinking about what to invest on for potential perks many levels down the line, which is part of the fun. Very unique, balanced, and humorous. Gas Resistance for Brown Noser is hilarious.

Hello Mr. raics,

At Mardin:
Melee character Rondok has Melee Weapons skill of 140%. So far, he can hit all enemies at 95% accuracy. What is the purpose of increasing the skill further? More damage? Or will later enemies be harder to hit therefore needing an increase in the above skill?

Linear playthrough feels right when you do everything right (including optional Objectives).

[Just finished Quincy:
Main character reaches Level 9 exactly after finishing last objective (cleaning up Ghoul Quarter).

Level 6, always comes the moment after delivering spectacles to Librarian.]

Didn't go xp mining myself, had to know. Good to know now. Thanks.

Will wait for that fix and more, hopefully.
Mod is fantastic as always.

Hello again,

On xp from Random Encounters:

What is the mod's position on leveling up from Random Encounters?
Will it make the game too easy or do the enemies scale to your level?
In any case, is it recommended or discouraged?
