As a newcomer you should be able to post only in the introduction sub-forum and reply to the Misc thread. The chat is largely unused I'm afraid - it should probably be removed.
There's information on the controls here: Thrivegame.forum-free.ca along with a quick mention that pressing F1 allows the debug mode.
As you might expect, it's not very fun to hear that two months worth of painstaking work is a joke.
This animation was made to help progress the game further - it gives programmers somewhere to aim for, shows artists and musicians what works well and what doesn't, and it even flagged up several balance issues. This animation has already moved the game's development further, and frankly any amount of progress is good progress.
Thank you for your insightful, constructive criticism. I'm sure it will be of more use to development than this animation.
We might have multiplayer, although at the moment that doesn't look likely. Other consoles are a faint possibility, but even more unlikely than multiplayer. There won't be any DLC as everything will just be updated to add new things, but people will be able to create their own mods.
Eventually they will, but until we have a working procedural cell evolution system these will be used as placeholders. Once we have a cell editor, we'll remake them using it, which should allow the cells to evolve once they've been built.
They're cell models that have been made for Thrive. Although this isn't actually the game itself, it's what the game (the next few prototypes, at least) will look like.
