I gotta say, I'm not having any problems! The new monsters seem to be appearing normally, and yeah, I'm using Ultimate Doom also. If it helps, my load order is the Doomone wad, then PB, and no other mods running except the Doomone patch. All my PB settings are on default as well I think.

Okay, this was driving me mental so I made this patch! Doesn't mess with the Doom One mod at all - you just have to make sure to load it last in your mod list, or at least after Doom One and PB / Brutal Doom 20. I've tested it out with BDv20 as well and at a brief play it seems to be okay, putting in the large size bosses and not skipping to the end.

Here we go, went with Mediafire in the end. The nice thing about it is it doesn't mess with the Doom One mod at all - you just have to make sure to load it last in your mod list, or at least after Doom One and PB / Brutal Doom 20. I haven't tested it with Brutal v20 yet, but I'm reasonably sure it will work, PB seems to work fine.

Basically what I did was replace the boss in each level with the ones used in the E2M8 / E3M8 maps in PB and BDv20, the mondo size ones. That seemed to stop it, not 100% why but now we can finally play it at least :)

Yep it seems to work! I'm not 100% percent that it's bug-free, but I'll test some more. Got it down to a 3 MB patch in the end, what's the best/appropriate way to get it to you people?

Oh my God I've actually done it, for the Cyberdemon at least! I'll get it working for the Mastermind, hopefully in the same way, and then I'm wondering what's the best way to get this to other people, would people frown on me uploading a tweaked version of the maps, to Mediafire or something? Or is that not allowed?

Bad news, I found the code that controls it, and successfully killed the cut scene, but it skips straight to the comlpete screen anyway. I have another idea that involves triggering the end script (if that is indeed what's doing it) after a set delay, I have a feeling that will circumvent the problem. Unless the player can compete a level in ten seconds that should be okay. Will report back...

That might fix it yeah, didn't think about disabling them altogether. I'll have a look and see if I can find where they're coded!

Yeah, definitely seems to be something with v20 / Project Brutality. I couldn't find what was causing it either, but I an a novice. I see that both mods seem to replace the original monsters with BD versions on startup though, I can't shake the feeling that this is something to do with it.

Just a guess, but I have a feeling this is tied to that thing that happens when you start a level and sometimes the enemies take a second to appear (I don't know if anyone else has had this happen). Could be the level thinks the boss is dead for that split second and ends the level prematurely?

I have the same problem, Knee Deep works fine, Thy Flesh is fine, but Shores and Inferno both show the bug, this happens in standard Brutal Doom 20 as well.

Just done the Shores of Hell on the latest version. Fun as all hell. :D I'm still getting the issue with the Barons in Classic Brutal mode, but I was only playing that mode because I didn't think I'd get used to all the new weaponry, now the fancy weapons mode is all I want to play! And the bug seems to disappear then, so I won't worry about it. Hats off to you, can't wait to see what you do with this next.
