Sorry about the no servers issue, we would put up some dedicated servers but in the games current version it is not really suited for Internet servers. But for the next release i will make sure to add minor fixes so it is better suited for Internet play. The problem now is that it is not possible to get out of the start building before the server has been filled up.
If you just want to play around and try the vehicles just start your own server and type "opendoors" in the terminal.

Yeah its a bug with the installer, sadly i didn't have time to get it to work with the steam version of UT3, but to get it to work just point the shortcut at steam.exe instead and add -applaunch 13210.
so the final shortcut will look something like this..
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 13210 -mod=../SteamRacers -solomod

Sadly non of us have a PS3 version of UT3, so we can't really test it. But when we feel the pc version is sufficiently complete i might get the PS3 version and have a look at it.

you can type opendoors in the terminal, that will start the opening sequence
