Sadly there is basicly no work on this, apart from I think some people are still creating new maps. So no single player is in the works, the people behind this mod are working on Nuclear Dawn.

You need any source engine game, CS:S etc....

When you create a server, you create a local server, so no one outside your LAN can connect. You should be able to see other servers running. Load up the server window from steam, and select SG:TLS as the game, you should see around 5 servers.

From the sound of the error message it would seem your not logged into the correct steam account? Seems weird, try logging out and back in.

It might look dead as there is a lack of players on, however if you just join a server and sit in it for a bit (or mess around ofcourse :p ) chances are a few people will join pretty quickly. I think the average is about 30 minutes to get like 10 players per team.

they do let you, but they go really slow. Some are sorting out fast downloads.

Well it is not dead, people still play it and new maps are being made by fans, such as the new Gate in Water map :)

The more people who play it, the more likely it is we will find some coders to volunteer their help.

Plenty of servers to join. If noone is on, pick a server, sit in it and in under 10minutes other people will join. Give it 30 minutes and you will have a good game going.

We are trying to get a cummunity dev team together, but noone is offering their help to code it :(

I played the beta and yer, it's not worth it, just get a good free stargate mod like Stargate: The Last Stand

So this mod is still alive, nice to see

Yer when you get a few people playing it is fun. The confrontation map with 8v8 on low gravity is a lot of fun :p

It is a lot of hard work getting the maps finished for any kind of offical release and getting permission from the correct people to do it. The more people who want to help with the mod the better. Check out the forums to see how you could help.

I cant invite you, but theres the link to the main one setup by the devs. There are other fan made ones, however I think this is the biggest. You also have clans etc...

Also another reason why they are hell bent agaisnt The Last Stand being released via Steam.

Yes it has good game play! We are currently putting together a video to show this but due to the holiday season it won't be ready till after Christmas. As for it being dead, well it is not currently being worked on, however as mentioned if noone is on you only have to play about in a server for a few minutes before someone else will join. Get a couple of friends on steam and bug them to join you in-game. This is by far the best Stargate Mod I have found.

Yer but note its by the same people who are making Stargate Worlds. If they don't have the money, and well just not getting anywhere with that one, how on earth can they come up with a new game lol. I think some serious issues going on there lol.

Hi, they are not, it depends on what time of day you are looking. There are a fair few Americans out there who play. If you just sit in an American server (I believe 417's server is in CA)then people will join in. Chances are after half an hour of sitting in a server you will have a good 10 people join you.

It is a beta, thus half finished lol. Also they aren't the best at keeping moddb uptodate and a lot of stuff changed as mentioned on the forums.

It isn't dead. If you read it all properly the company need to make some money and MGM won't let them make any on this mod. They are looking for people to take on working on the code to continue this mod.

A bunch of people are getting together to make some videos and we need some actors. So if anyone wants to help head over to the forums. Thank you.

lol SkyTV goes down if it is raining half the time. and hypothecticly speaking I would of course use eztv and even the rss feed feature of utorrent so i don't even have to do anything to download it :p but being a good citizen I wouldn't break the law :p
