After pouring hours into modding a quake mod that gives you a portal gun, I log on to find that most (but not all) of the features I added will be in the next release. At this, I loled.
Those features include:

• A new model for the portals
• surfaces you can't cast portals on

However, I did add a setup for portal linkage ids.
