About the nebulas in general. X-Wings are quite weak in there so try not to fight there.

This is a good tactic, I used samekind with Rebels. The pirate station fight was so important few years ago, but it changed. :D What if opponent moves Ties to your base mine as you moving your fighters to his/hers and you don't have turret. Ties have free fire to your mine. Have anyone tried that against you?

Yes it's true about the turret that probably won't kill the Ties. That's why I again write that you should think about it. Against average player you should really consider about buying it. Average opponent starts to micro and usually fails to see what is happening elsewhere, if average opponent even starts microgaming. You can just relax and concentrate elsewhere. Seen that many times. And when you start to feel "pro" you can forget the turret. You are again missing the point that these are 1v1 tips for new players.

Anyways you can always change your tactics on game. Group your fighters back and so on. I just like to change starting tactics and find different variants, it was really boring when this game was active and everyone started always the same way. Well it suited for me I started to change tactics and it worked well.

Yes the first tactic is risky, but works from time to time. And that's why I wrote the other tactic that you move all except one unit to enemy base mine. Take it down and move units to middle.

These are the tips for players not familiar with 1v1. When you get better you shape it and adapt to situations what enemy throws you. Can't write all situations here. You should know it.
