Great! So, do we write to them?

I am glad that at least there are some backups for this :)

Thanks!
Yeah, honestly I found this last mod maker's behaviour towards loyal fans of the mod quite despicable.

Agree, having an option to download a previous, much less harsh version, would be nice.

Has anyone had any experience combining the additions to the game brought by this mod without all the handicaps that were introduced?

Hi! Where do I find that version (7791) and where do I check, which one is which? Is 7791 the version of DC?

There is already a mechanic: you have to balance the artifacts with ammo on the belt. Put on too many artifacts, and you have nothing to reload with.

I don't know. I guess it may be a very subjective matter, but I found that going into anomalies to extract an artifact that is useless except for protection from that anomaly was not fun at all. Not to mention this generally low variety of stats. I hope if they go through with this change, they will include an option not to install this rebalance.

Ow no... Artifacts rebalance inspired by CoP?
That sounds really bad. Half of their artifacts are beyond useless as they only give like one positive and one negative stat and the most common occurrence is when an artifact gives you a resistance against an anomaly that spawned it.

I hope you guys meant "inspired by CoP" in some other way, because this utter uselessness of 85% of artifacts was why I dropped the "Call of Chernobyl" (CoP-based mod)

Nah, I bought a cheap Stalker Suit from Sidor
Will stick around with it until something better comes along, but at least with a helmet or a gas mask it is semi-usable for different purposes :)

I still have it. Switching between Dx 10 and 11 removes it for a time but then it comes back on the next in-game day.

That's quite disappointing.. Not to mention the cheap Stalker suit that Sidorovich gives is also gone.
Being a rookie became much harder. I wonder, why.

Has anyone else found the Stalker Suit/Zarya/Sunrise in Strelok's stash after the last update?

ow
that's worrying. Well, for me Wolf's key was displaced, either by the devs or by the poltergeheists, to another spot in the room. Maybe same thing happened with that suit?
Please tell me if you find it later on.. I still haven't reached that point yet.

Nvm, found it,it was in a different place in the same room. Just the place was different. Either it was moved by the addon devs or the poltergheists threw it around.

Guys, did you move the key to Wolf's stash to some other place?
After installing the addon and starting a new game, it's just not there.

The AI behaviour is weird
But yeah, some NPCs have ridiculous accuracy and damage

Well, wasn't like that for me until I installed this latest update. But I did find some artifacts there on later returns to Cordon in previous version, just not on my first visit to the anomaly after a new game start :)

I am just so amazed that after all this time this mod isn't abandoned and there are still addons and upgrades being made for it, perfecting it
And people playing it :)

Ow well, this is a 30% buff, so maybe it is not that noticeable early on. Not the same as eg. 2x as many artifacts
I only played a bit yesterday and only completed a couple of first quests (find the artifact, collect the first flash drive and help the Proverb). But in the anomaly field near the rookie village where you find the quest artifact I immediately found another one (Wrenched) whereas previously I was unable to find any ever since updating 1.4002 to 1.4005 at the beginning of a new game.

Do I understand this correctly? The artifacts will spawn 30% more often only if I start a new game?

Maybe your blood coagulates so quickly, you become absolutely pointless for the bloodsuckers to pursue as they couldn't drink it. By the way, if that is the case, i think you need to contact doctor ASAP :D

I tested it on Veteran now and had a single Pseudodog (out of a group of two) chase me quite far beyond its area of habitat (all happening on Cordon). However, when I ran into an area with several Fleshes, the pseudodog got scared and backed off. It ran around a bit more but later returned to its home.
On Stalker, I have never been chased by boars on Cordon outside of their habitat. Maybe mutants on Cordon are nerfed somehow?

I just checked, the "User.ltx", saves etc are located in the main game folder, in appdata. All of that was wiped out when I deleted the game and installed the 1.4005.

Maybe the smarts of animals and people depend on difficulty setting? I set it at Stalker. Do you have it on Veteran or Master?
I will test this.

Where is it located? I found several Stalker folders in my documents for several games with mods I have, but none of them seems to correspond to Lost Alpha

Actually, no. I only cleaned out the main folder.. I didn't find any reinstall instruction. However, the only previous version was 1.4002. If there was something as fundamental as mutant AI, it would have been there too.
I would really prefer not to reinstall the entire mod again :)
