I just downloaded the new version (I was going to wait for more races, but I really wanted to try it and got impatient). I LOVE it!
My only complaints are this:
1. The 304 has an X in front of it. This bothered me far more than it should honestly, but feedback is feedback.
2. The capital ships (still) have "'shiptype' class class" as their type. I think it's because SOASE automatically puts 'class' at the end of the type, but I'm not sure.
I also wondered why the smaller ships couldn't carry fighters anymore (the hangers are right there!) but I figured that was more of a balance or possibly performance thing.
Despite my complaints (that frankly, are REALLY tiny) I loved this new version and eagerly await the next release (most likely Tuesday).
