If there's one thing you want from any Cthulhu inspired game (whether it be board game, PC game or whatever) its atmosphere. This has it. Loads of it. Everything just fits into the Lovecraft dynamic and gives that eerie sense of fear and helplessness you get from reading the books.
Technically it has some issues, but I think these are down to the age of the Half Life engine being modded rather than any fault of the modder. That being said, these don't spoil the story at all. Definitely one to play if you have any interest in Cthulhulian mythos at all.
