It did. But gameplay wise, I don't think they wanted it at the time. But now that LotV is coming and factions are getting a lot of new stuff, I think its being added to give early era Rebellion an edge before the NSD.
I think it was suppose to be in the game, but was abandoned because it would just be a Nebula Class clone. I'm a bit surprised its being added.
Wow! What an interesting design for the Republic class! I'm glad to see changes in the Assault Frigate. Two versions is definitely nice.
True, SSDs will become way harder to fight. Maybe, if they receive this buff, they don't need as many weapons as they do now. Or a decrease in fire rate. But I understand what you mean, I have problems with Zsinj and Caine already myself, especially in era 1 of the New Republic.
The Executor models look amazing! I actually had a suggestion regarding the SSD classes in general. With the space reworks, they are obviously way more powerful than ever before, but I've found an issue with them that I think should be addressed. It seems like after they've taken a lot of damage, they become a liability. In longer battles, when they take heavy damage, they lose all of their weapons and can no longer fight back. Support ships die one by one because the SSD can't cover them. The only useful way to use them in long battles is to hit and run if their engines are still online. If it doesn't have engines online, it usually just dies.
A great way to fix this is too make the SSD be a little more useful after major damage. It would be great if the SSDs' hardpoints only included its heaviest weapons (heavy dual ions, heavy turbos, missiles) but the weaker weaponry (lasers, turbos) are not destroyable. Maybe increase the hardpoint health to compensate for the loss of hardpoints (or not, since it will be stronger for longer amounts of time). This will make the Executor better in longer battles.
I know some people lately have been experiencing lag. I've also been experiencing a lot of lag, but the only lagging I've been getting that hasn't been in the galactic map is fighting the CSA. They spam the hell out of the Citadel and Gozanti squadrons, along with a massive amount of Modular Taskforce Crusiers which carry a bunch of fighters. Most large battles run well for me, but this is just too much happening. I thought the Citadel and Gozanti would get a new unit pop points because of the rework, but they only cost 1, which causes a lot of spam.

I agree. The amount of spamming in unit is not only breaking the stability of the mod, but the balance and it defeats the whole point of having a balanced fleet.
So my campaign that I've been on for several days now keeps freezing for no reason on the galactic map. I've notice that EAWX has a hard time keeping the galactic map stable and it seems to be broken again because I've been experiencing lag spikes that happen once in a while that have a chance of freezing the game. I'm not sure what making the game freeze, but I think it might be the AI (either moving too many units or building too many units) or story events. I'm not sure, but I'm obviously pretty ****** that my campaign might've been ruined. If you have any solutions, let me know.
Just a suggestion regarding population for factions. I feel like its too often that I'm fight 1000 point fleets with 2 or 3 units being spammed up to 30+ units to 80+ units. I feel like there should be a restriction for how many units can be built to prevent spam. It makes most battle just feel like your throwing unimportant cannon fodder into battle.
Amazing work guys. I just want to report that boarding isn't always working for some reason, and that I've experience both a crash and a freeze. Possibly connected to ground battles.
I talking about the story mission that allowed you to rebuild the Errant Venture into the red version. It was disabled, but I wanted to know if its back or not.
Is Errant Venture getting its red hull upgrade in this update, or is story stuff for later?

Nice. Curious, will a lot of Corellian ships in this faction end up with the New Republic as well? A lot of their ships were used by the New Republic, right?

I didn't know the Dauntless was getting an update. Very nice. Hopefully the Assault Frigate is next, it really needs it.
Hopefully Corey will show the Nebula Class some love in this new update.
