In version J I did what you said and about a minute in after several spells, the last spells were the following.
Zombie Warrior-> Bless
Lich-> lightning
cleaning cleric list
cleaning mage list
(runtime error)
Could it perhaps be something else in battle causing it?
I get a runtime error whenever I start a battle. maybe 20-30 seconds in, sometimes even shorter. I think it might be because my troops are using magic, but it seems to freeze whenever they use a spell.......

in campaign after several years my faction turns rebel and im defeated but i have to admit i have messed with the amount of turns per year, would that have anything to do with it because i do like to play complete domination at my own speed.
