In an earlyer version there were passwords at the end of each mission. You had to type them in the launcher for activating the next mission. I think that was because the team didn't know at that time how to make a campaign where one mission came after another without causing bugs. (But maybe it was because of something different.) But now, in version 3.8.1, there are no passwords more, the campaign works just like the one from the original game.

I am quite sure that the team has already stated that the release date of 4.0 is completly independent from the Hobbit movie.

The Edain Mod takes place at the time of 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings', so the old Erebor doesn't exist anymore. It would be quite weird if you could play with the old kingdom of Erebor against the new kingdom of Erebor.

I personaly can agree with you about nearly everything you wrote, expect: One of the things I hate most about the orcs from the Hobbit is it, that they don't speak Westron.
Every little group of orcs had its own dialect of orcish, so when some orcs met they couldn't understand each other. But all of them knew Westron so they used it. Sauron tried to solve this problem by inventing the black tongue, but in the end this tongue was to complicated for most orcs. Only some orcs in Barad-dûr and few other places spoke this languge, so the Defiler and other Misty mountains orcs speaking it is extremly unrealistic.

Saurons speeks at the moment, he always sais "Du kannst dich nicht verstecken." ("You can not hide.") and causes an earthquake while doing so. But yes, it was confirmed that the Necromancer will use the voice from the Hobbit-movies in 4.0.
I doubt that he will get that burning ghost-form, because it would be to much for him to be able to switch between two forms. He can already transform into the eye through his last ability. But of course, I don't know anything about what is planned.

There is a new Update on Modding Union which explains more about the old and new maps in Edain 4.0: Forum.modding-union.com

It's done when it's done.

Or you could just give the ability unlimited range so he can use it everywhere on the battlefield.

The area around the Nurn sea wasn't given to orcs, it was given to the human slaves who had to work there for Sauron. And I'm quite sure that I read somewhere at the end of Lord of the rings that Elessar never made peace with the orcs. The orcs flew after the battle of the Morannon and hid themselfs and in the forth age orcs have become creatures of mythology which nobody had ever seen.

I think it is quite realistic the way it is now. Westron, which is represented by our "real world languages" like english or german, was the most often used tongue in entire Middle earth. It was the language of the people of Gondor and of the hobbits. It was also the language that was used by orcs in most cases. (Every little group of orcs had its own dialect of orcish, so when some orcs met they couldn't understand each other. But all of them knew Westron so they used it. Sauron tried to solve this problem by inventing the black tongue, but in the end this tongue was to complicated for most orcs. Only some orcs in Barad-dûr and few other places spoke this languge, so the Defiler and other Misty mountains orcs speaking it is extremly unrealistic.)
Lothlorien, Imladris, Rohan and Dwarves are the only factions where own languages would make sense. But there isn't really anything known about Rohirric or Khuzdul (which was also a very secret language, so dwarves wouldn't use it with us foreigns sitting in front of the computer and listing.) The two factions left are the elvish ones. But it also wouldn't work for them, because many heroes of them aren't speaking elvish in the movies/aren't included in the movies. And I also doubt that there is enough for the units.

Mordor has so many different and usefull units and it is also a special thing about Mordor, that it doesn't have regular cavalry. I think you can read in the books (battle for minas tirith) that it was the greatest weakness of the Mordor-army that it didn't have real riders (exept the haradrim).
And I also don't remember any warg riders exept Gothmog in Return of the king. I can only remember one single warg without rider inside of Minas Tirith, when the orcs came into the city.
Personaly I have never really used the morgul riders in the mod because they were so incredible unfitting(But that's different know.) and I did never really need them for anyting. I tink that Mordors doesn't need any regular cavalry, it works quite well without.

The corsairs won't be included in 4.0, just like the heroes of the Men of the East. But the team has plans for them for Edain 4.1.

Sorry for the mistake. The second update explaines Sauron and Shelob and the Men of the East will also be explained in the second update. And I remembered somebody saying that they will be implemented with Sauron, but it semms that I was wrong.

No, the tribute post produces only resources. The team has stated that the Men of the East will be available through a new mechanic of Sauron, just as Shelob will be. None of them will be available in a building.
So wait for the second Mordor-update.

Word of Power is actually based on the books where Gandalf "had to speak a Word of Power" in the Chamber of Mazarbul against the Balrog. This word has destroyed the entire room.

All dwarven factions have the spellbook ability "expedition to Khazad-dum", which allows building units and upgrades in the Inn. And with that power you can create a special building (don't know a proper english word), that creates Moria mineshafts. Themineshafts can only be placed on cliffs and the will
Not show up when you try to place them elsewhere.
In 4.0 nothing of that will be included anymore, you will Be able to build a travelling camp on the extern building plots. The camp will send travelling companies to the borde of the map and sometimes veterans of Khazad-dum will return with some mithril.

The ring always rules Saruman. Saruman is never able to controll the ring entirely. Both of his forms are completly mad and evil, they just use different elements. (Lightning-Saruman is less mad then fire-Saruman, but none of them can controll the ring.)

No, you can't create Men of the East with the tribute post. The tribute post generates resources, that is everything. The Men of the East will be included with a system that is connected to Sauron, we don't know how it will work exactly yet.

Of course it is possible and there won't be glitches and the team has already asked on MU, if we want that. Most people have said 'yes, use the wooden modells for ouposts', so the chance is quite high, that that will be added. But the problem is, that they don't have wooden modells for the citadell, the defense tower, the tribute post, the arms store, and the orc tent isn't ready. (Orc pit is not a possibility, because it is terrible, ugly, incredible unfiiting and makes us think that orcs are coming out of mud.) So we would have to wait longer for the next update, because they would have to make that modells.

Many, many people have already said, that they want ground textures for lake town. And the answer has always been the same: Ground textures are very difficult an dcan cause problems.

And why should the necromancer be available for misty mountains? That doesn't make any sense. (Yes, I know that he was allied with them in the movies, but the movies weren't that good.) I highly doubt that the team will add the necromancer for misty mountains. He is not ncessary and he doesn' fit into the faction.

The Mount Doom won't be included. In no way. The team has already said that. And it wouldn't make sense, to have the Orodruin in Lindon or Rohan.

Many people don't like the CaH-system. And the Edain team has stated, that that system doesn't seem important to them. (I think some/many of them also don't like it.)
But there is also the problem that the Own Heroes have taken to much place (I'm no modder, I don't know exactly what that means), so they had to remove them. If they didn't remove them, there would have been bugs and other features wouldn't have been added. I hope what I've said isn't false.
So I wouldn't hope that the CaH-system will ever return. And I think that is very good, because they doesn't fit into the game.

In most cases Edain team uses the design of the hobbit-movies instead of their, amazing, invented stuff. Look at Misty Mountains. I think it is quite sure that they are already added.

Mordor has special troops of the three common types. Minas Morgul: elite swordsmen, Dol Guldur: elite archers, Cirith Ungol: elite pikemen. Adding all the three types to Minas Morgul would destroy the entire concept.

Radagast will be with Lorien, yes. And there will never be a Mirkwood-faction. But it is possible that Bilbo will become a ringhero for the dwarves.
