I gave a guest + ham but to guests it still shows as "currently awaits admin approval" is there a lag for this?

The selector issue has been addressed and will be patched in an update. The colour red and the save books are as intended. The colour red is to let a player know that an enemy is nearby. Before players wouldn't notice the enemies and just simply die, this was added because of it.
The save books can indeed only be used once. This is for added difficulty and because you also regain your health when saving, players could misuse this and so we thought it would be best to keep it to a one save per book only.
