The Cat Lady

Game review may contain spoilers

This game played with my heart strings the whole way through. I love how it has a set story, but you have little choices to make each playthrough a bit differant.
I enjoy how it's very questionable about who this "Queen of Maggots" woman is, and depending on your choices, it might even make you question if Susan has really "died" so many times or if she's really "killed" the Parasites, or if they were all metaphors for something else.
The game often makes you change your thought patterns over and over, making you think one thing one minutes, and making you think a totally differant one the next. And then when it all boils down, it's actually the option you least thought possible!
It's very easy to feel for Susan and Mitzi, to understand them. They are very believable characters, and I applaud you for choosing female protagonists, and suceeding very well with them.
I swear that the ending tore my heart out. It's sad when a character dies after all that you've been through with them. Especially when you somehow just forget that they're supposed to die because you've been distracted by all the things you went through with the character. But it's nice to see that Susan didn't give up after she lost Mitzi, and tries to be happier, and is, because of Mitzi's computer.
This game takes 2D side-scrollers to a whole new level, and this is the kind of game quality I love to see. Good 2D games are hard to come by, and this one is a pure gem. Wish I could figure out how to run it in Windowed mode, though.
