Ye thx, i did read them, i just wasnt sure whether they gonna include the "sub-factions" in them like Cardassia was for sins during the DS9 era etc.
Thanks for the info though, ill wait for later releases then :)
Take care!

Hey there! So it seems after sins, theres finally the next gen star trek game/mod on the way, glad to see it :)

One question though, any info about the dominion being in it as a minor faction or is it not public yet? Askin cuz they r my favorite from the star trek universe :) (those ship designs awww pure beauty).

Thanks in advance and have a nice day,
Chris.

Same tech tree where u can research the dominion ships, leaders, right above the 1st dominion ship. Its a double research.
U research the 1st nod then u can choose to go pure cardi or dominion as a 2nd nod/follow-up research.
Cant recall the names but its there as i described :D

Since u posted out of the old conversation:
You HAVE TO go into those other folders. U only went into the steam folder. Inside steam folder there's a folder named "SteamApps". Inside that there's a folder named "Common" AND ONLY INSIDE THAT u will find the rebellion folder that steam downloaded along with its exe and everything.
IE route (for mine)
"D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sins of a solar empire rebellion" Now when u r here, u will find "Sins of a solar empire rebellion.exe".
Right click it, properties > remove read-only, apply, ok.
After that apply LAA to "Sins of a solar empire rebellion.exe" and you should be good to go.

YOu can also go there going by the shortcut as Schuchart mentioned. Right click on the shortcut, click on "Open file location". The rest are the same as with every issue. remove read-only, apply LAA, enjoy.

Yep the old (2006-2008ish) game engine is single threaded, 1 core only.

More than fine. I have 8 gigs, CTA uses around 2,2-2,4k for me and i still have like 4GB free.
And CPU.. doesnt really matter since it uses only 1 core if i seen right.

Tried to set it for the whole folder (unchecked-read only)? then when u click apply it will ask to apply it for the whole subfolder, files etc.

Only i can think of is make a small distraction fleet, set capital victory, send in the main fleet to their capital and hope for the best :D But thats just so cheap and romulan way to deal with things :D

normal difficulty one sent in like 2 cubes + tactical, queen + a dozen of pyramids so around 500k HP + shields + regen to get through while my little purple dommie dread had like 8-9k + 50 mantis. i almost cried, ti felt like sending a child vs an MMA champion from the heavy weight :(

okay something is very wrong with the AI allies. My evil agressive type fed ally sits and does nothing after like 20-30 min. and this happens everytime i ally with a fed.

I have the same and it runs fine. (i7, 8gb ram, nvidia 635m) win 8 64bit.
The issue i had was: remove read-only from sins folder and all sub files (not the mod but the game folder with sins.exe) THEN apply LAA and ofc run it as admin as always. had no issues ever since.

Funny thing in my last game:
My romulan AI ally locked the borg in with gazillion mines at choke points and slowly let it bleed out rofl :DDD
That was such a cheap way to kill even the borg i felt sorry for it.

Thx god i was playing vs Easy borg 1st cuz my normal ally did 1-2 ships whole game so i had to defend him + myself as dominion.

You sure guys? cuz its in STA3-CTA folder, base was STar Trek Armada 3 folder, i guess he has to just edit the enablemods.txt file from "STA3-CTA" to "Star Trek Armada 3".
On the other hand why would u play the older version when u can play a more polished and more content game? :D

I guess u better message them since thats on the 10th page soon. but as i seen so far they will say the same.
3GB RAM really wont be enough there's a reason why LAA has to extend the limit ABOVE 2GB + u waste 1GB of ur ram almost. Many apps run better on 64bit as well.

I would really do it if i were u, not only for this but overall upgrade, win7 installer is so simplified like a game install anyway.

Your call though :)

Loaded one of my longer saves, sins.exe used around 1,8GB ram but the enemy fleet was already gone + my ally AI had no fleet either.
Juts for a measure if u wanna check how much ram u got without sins running and compare it to how much the OS sees from the 4gb with 32bit + how much is free after the base windows processes.

On my older desktop, the win7 64bit uses around 1GB of ram so if thats ur case too then u should have some spare left for sins, at least 2,5GB :/

Then i have run out of ideas.
Can ur 32bit win7 utilize all the 4gb ram? (how much it shows in dxdiag) more often than not its only like 3,2-3,5GB.
but thats really just guessing, im clueless at this point + im not a dev :/

If u r that determined and it only uses like 3,2-3,5GB (usually 1,8-2gb used by OS default stuff+ everyday programs) u can try to go with 64bit win7. Or if u can check near a crash how full ur memory is.

But i repeat these r just my final guesses dont take anything for granted.
