Despite HZD being already quite a beautiful and vibrant game, I still wanted to try out all sorts of shader combinations as an exercise, whilst avoiding the famous Marty McFly Ray-Traced Global Illumination shader for a myriad of reasons, hence being an "experimental project".
Since the game is already quite vibrant, and quite demanding performance-wise, considering the not-so great state of optimization as PC port, I ended up taking a more conservative approach with my visual changes, while I liked the results, unfortunately there were a few technical issues inherent with Reshade, for example all Ambient Occlusion solutions end up showing on top of in-game volumetric lighting and haze/smoke, so some areas look a little odd with super-imposed shadowing in distant environments.
But otherwise I'm quite happy with the results, marginal as they may seem.
