From what i have read in the books slave ships don't have any guns, but are heavily armored, and rely on escorts from coral skippers, gunboats, and frigates, and they usually hang back from the battles.

your right the endurance class fleet carrier is suposed to share the defender class hull

the ships have two types of shields, ones that stop lazers and ones that stop missiles, they left out the missle stoping ones in the game
