Hi i just want to close this issue off with my fix.
OS: windows 8.1
Res: 192 X 1200

i get optimal gaming experience if i choose in settings:
Resolution: 1280X1024
Renderer: IE-DDRAW

Again, thanks for the knowledge Rampastring. With all that being said, i've become pretty addicted to the game again like i was when i was 12 in 1996 :) whats the best platform to play this game? OS wise; i've got a few other PCs sitting around that can be reimaged for C%C.

Thanks Rampastring, Perhaps you can help with another issue. When i use IE-DDRAW as the Renderer the game works fine and the cursor is available when the game options are open, however whenever i move the mouse during the game the gameplay freezes until the mouse is stationary.

Got the game working perfectly using the TS-DDRAW renderer, except when i select options while in a game i lose the mouse cursor makes the game near unplayable as i have to guess where the cursor is.

OS is : windows 8.1
