If you enjoy the more natural style of ship fighting in Sins you should really check out the Maelstrom mod. The guy working on it has added in over 30 new planet types, research allowing for their colonization, has 3 new races for Diplomacy and his current release for Rebellion has 2 of those races. Within the next few weeks he should be releasing the final version which will have all the 3 new ones, for a total of 6 races split into Loyalist and Rebel factions. He has also modified some of the files so that each race has their own color for their weapon systems, which is pretty awesome.
hey can u help me out with a issue im having trying to adapt a ship in SGI, i am trying to alter the weapon power, but cant find it in the files, also how do i change the info cards for the race?
hmm, i should install the mod first to be sure, but they should be in(W7):
C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.053\modname and then gameinfo, and then find the ship you want to change.
the only place for mod files to be i know of.
(i use WordPad to open them, then a list of text comes. just read what it says and you'll know fast enough what everything means.
