anyway, i'd need a comment of Arachno to this. I dont think that theres much more modelwork to be done...I even dunno if i should texture the nebulon b. The problem is that the Haega engine is not spread wide enough...and we got no motivation cus theres not much going on since haeggal is down. If we could get a solution for this problem I would be greatly motivated to start upwork again.

yea, thats great. Ship scales (expecially fighters) bothered me anyway ;)
i mean....an 4metres xwing is nearly as big as a corcor ^^

unfortunately, i cant find me copy of 3ds max...gotta look for it i guess. I really like yer latest textures (firespray n yt transport) and wondered if they have specular mapping applied cus i cant see it on the screen shots ;)

actually, i also thought about posting at several game magazine's forums as well....haegemonia s already 5 years old.....and they often put in free full versions of games as a bonus so there might be a way of getting haega + tsh on one of em......as far as I know theyre always looking for ideas on how to use that bonus cd... ;)

So, looks like the summer break is over. I learned to use Maya in the holidays which will speed up my modelling and Unwrapping work a lot - the nebulon b took about 2 days fo model (UV mapped as well)

so, finally i came back from sweet holidays ;)
Its true i have an unfinished nebulon b model here, i might get it finished off so we can compile it?

btw, nice job on the yt1300 and the firespray, especially on the firespray! I somewhat cant see any specular mapping appear on the models (im sure u created some, maybe the compiler screwed things up again)

as far as i hae it in mind...we need a bulk cruiser, the moncals and....well, the nebulon.

if you dont like icq, we can switch to msn or any other messenger if u prefer it, I personally would like to stick to instant messengers for emails are...well, slow ;)

umm, the original models are still ingame, and loaded when starting the game.However, a script tells the game not to use the original files... Actually, you'd have to change one textfile (Shiplicht_Hulls.txt) in the Game_Bases folder. You would have to select the rebel ships and delete them. Dont forget to backup the original VP Shiplist_Hulls file first.

I already had the idea to realize such battles, but Haega doesnt support additonal races. Thats why we have to replace the original ones.

No, this is absolutely NOT the final version ;)

there are still many things to be done, like the mining plattforms to be changed to tibana gas, etc... balancing and many other bugs to be removed...

If you have some time, you can help us by posting your bugs in the vector prime forum in the bug report thread. You can also download Volkaines small rebalancing mod if you want to.

Anyway, we're glad that you like the mod - this gives us motivation for a quick releae of the next version ;)

Tha game has a skirmish mode + the mod will come up with a singleplayer mode on its final release. For playing, you need Haegemonia - The solon heritage + the addon Haegemonia - The solon heritage. You can buy both games together in the Gold edition if you find a trader, and if not, well.....
Price will be about 9,99€ ... at least that was the last price i could remember. The developement year was 2001 i think, but you can visit the digital reality homepage for more specific info.

And beside the mod you will have lots of fun with the original game itself ;)

The latest version of Vector Prime (V 0.9) has been released!

You can now use the new features like the Home One, the jedi starfighters, the improved AI etc..
I hope you like it, feel free to post critics.
Please tell us if you liked the old laser graphics better or if you prefer the new ones.

Hopefully you all enjoy the mod, were already working on the next version ;)

well, at the monemt this is just an idea how to replace the mining platforms. However, if were going to realize it, the asteroids (only the mineable ones) will be replaced by tibana gas clouds and the platform model to tibana gas refineries. Or, if its possible, refineries would be stations, placed near the gasclouds that can be conquered by stormtrooper/rebel transports (maybe even jedi starfighter) and gas miners transport the gas to the refinery (where you get an extra bonus)

But at the moment, this are just ideas, I dont know if its possible to realize them. Same with animations (hull breach, s-foils..) and ship parts that are "shot off".

well, we maybe build in the battle of endor as a tutorial or something, but mainly, the battles will be set in the scenario of the Vector Prime book. Means - not only the old SW heroes, Vouuzhan Young ships, Pirates and stuff. But of course also the units and heroes (apart of those who died in the movied of course) of the original films.

Unfortunately, the Modding Tools were only released for TSH - so the mod only works with tsh. But, if you really need a copy you will find a way to get one :P....and, no, i dont mean you should download it illegally

No, honestly, we will bring out an update and a new version soon for sure , with fixed soundbugs, updated textures, the actual fighter models, more capital ships etc.. So, you then will be able to see graphics as in the gallery ingame, on your screen. We're reall workin hard on the mod, but, unfortunately, I have much stress in school at the moment. Till I finish off school in July, Arachno and other helpers will work on the Singleplayer Campaign, and I will draw concepts during school lessons ;)

yeehaw, thanks for the award, never thought this mod would be noticed :).

Horrorist: Thanks for the applause. For modeling i use milkshape3d and 3ds Max 5 for converting. Arachno uses only 3ds Max. For Texturing I use my wacom tablet asnd photoshop...and lots of time :P

Just for info: Me and Lukeeiwalker are the same guys....just new nick. We didnt get additional gfx personnel

yea, and while ye work on the levels ill model heroes, paint some interfase stuff and overwork the models+textures + add effects and animations (i got a rather good plan on how to make those ;) )

Actually I didnt think that many people would play this mod over hours - the beta we offer here is very old and includes jthe eldest AI and shipfiles we have here ^^
We will definately consider your criticism - the mercenaries still have to be replaced i think. If we had Han solo, Ackbar or any other (ner) sw characters offering their servces to you, the SW feeling would be far bigger than with random Mercs ;)
When the moncals are finished and we did some rebalancing we will spread another VP version among the crowd and start doing some advertising :)

We will include squadrons like the Rouge Squadron, but, since the mod plays after the Film, I dont think that Darth Vader could fly a Tie anymore :P. General Ackbars Home One will be in the mod, just like the Allegiance Class ISD (maybe the executor too).
But, I also thought about building in those heroes themselves, so you can also interact an say "hmm, I'd prefer General Antilles commanding my Corellian corvettes".

At the moment we're figuring out how to build in animations in haega, so we can create moving s-foils, radar dishes.. and the explosion effects when ships break apart.
