cool, other things could be gloves, and put armour on arms and elbows, under the armour a skin should be ok:

Yes its killzone 3 but the armor is very nice and maybe you can get ideas:

this is more or less light recon or fast reaction. Remember that a fast response team dropped in from orbit will want to be light and mobile. I felt that by making the armour simplistic it would still add a more sci fi feel but in a more minimalist and more realistic theme.
yeah, like ODST, those are the heavy ones.
