Offtop: by the way, yesturday was released Oblivion Lost Remake mod. This stuff is about good old style: it tries to reborn Stalker as if it was released in 2003-2004. But it was made almost by only one person so has a lot of bugs and glitches at this time.

The only way is to use some reality extending means or your fantasy. %-)

Well, if we are talking about warez (and commercial sw) too, than there are tons of recovery tools: R-studio, Runtime GetDataBack, Active@ File Recovery, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.

Just about week ago I have some similar troubles.
Can recommend R-saver, a tool from serious data recovery lab. One problem - it in russian only. Light, runs in place (fully portable), free (not a demo, trial, etc.), has no potentially deconstructive functions. Looks most like well known R-Strudio, but free.

P.S. After all, if your drive is visible for Windows (i.e. has letter), you can try "chkdsk D: /f" to restore whole partition. Of course, you should do it only after data recovery. Sometimes chkdsk does some unexpectable magic. As for me, it recovered NTFS partition which was visible as "RAW, unformatted".

Yep. GSC is working on technology to use widespreaded infrastructure of existing Counter Strike 1.6 servers with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha to bring multiplayer into this one. Aztech and De Dust maps will be ported as well and will be awailable as premium content.

In one phrase: there is unofficial but trustful information from GSC side that there IS collaboration between them and Dezowave on LA deployment.

Take a look at video by game dev: Youtube.com - "Unity Human Eye Luminosity Adaptation (HDR)".
It is a testing of human eye luminosity adaptation effect on Unity engine. I understand, that is wholly different engine and there is an HDR processing. But what an IDEA! Maybe some simplified kind of this effect can be achieved via video postprocessing? It will be nice, isn't it? ))

On some screenshots with sun in view there is a lens flare effect (for example: Moddb.com and Moddb.com ). But this kind of lens flare is multilens camera flare (without bladed aperture, btw), not the real human eye flare (which looks more like halo, for example: Ajenti.org ).
So, what kind of flare you are going to use in release? Camera lens glare as a bit of cinematic technique or realistic but less attractive human eye flare?
