Structural Series: 1 of 3.
This is a model that I did a long time ago (just before I did the 'Structure Fest' back in Feb 2012). It was also unwrapped onto 2 x 512 texture spaces soon after it was made, but I never bothered to texture it.
The reason I never textured it back then was that I was mainly interested in practising structural modelling. I did not feel that the stone + wood mix of this structure would have benefited me in terms of texture practice, because the structures that I was going to make were almost all metal (eg the Ore purifier, the Stealth generator etc).
Now, I have another structure that will benefit from me practising this type of texture, so here we are!
Since the model is already unwrapped, I will move onto either doing the height map (for the base normal map) or a colour & material texture block.
Very interesting model :) Are you going to model GLA supply truck by the way?
Thanks!, no I will not be modelling the truck. Has usual I do not intend on using this model.
