I notice in the Tournaments some of the knights have pretty cool crested helmets. Is there anyway to get these for my character?

Hi, sorry for being a bit stupid on this, but could people please explain how to install these patches?
Currently im downloading as follows: Download -> steam(steamapps/common etc) -> Warband -> Modules -> L'Aigle.
Do i extract and replace or extract and update?
This is what I have done, but initial screen is still showing version 1.0?
