Just your local nerd with too much time on his hands...
Yup. Sums it up.
Wow you read this. You have less of a life than I do.
It's been removed.
I hacked on the helmets that were used in BMS. Everything else is just a reskin
sure, you can inbox it to me.
I can add a new animation. I was just thinking the same thing.
Coming right up.
I loved that skin. It was pretty much the best one I've seen so far.
I wouldn't say I've "made" them. More like added onto Romka's existing model that was released a while ago.
I use 3d Milkshape to do it all. Additionally Photoshop and Paint.net
Y U NO SHARE
all jokes aside, seems like a nice pack. Though some weapons seem to not fit the timelines other weapons were used. Namely the Thompson.
read the news people. stuff is going to change!
Well.. my mod's been deleted without any warning or even a notification as to why...
Nice moderation skills here.
And here I thought the Internet Police didn't legitimately exist...
I'm sorry... I'll delete the apache that I've spent countless hours on to break it apart and rebuild it to be able to run on the vanilla Apache's animation and use another one JUST for you.
It's funny that you go waving that finger of yours around acting like I said I've personally created (I.E. built the polys, made the UV maps, etc) these models and go around bragging about it. If I've done such a thing, point that out for me, will ya? The only thing I've done really was hexing/skinning and rerigging **** into the HL Skeleton and animations compatible with it..
And as I've said before, that apache model has been rigged from MoH. Read the descriptions much bro? Did I ever say "Hey guys! I've created this apache! Nope! It's not from Medal of Honor! Just similar!"
Honestly, if you have a problem with the pack, simply don't download it. I'm not going to stop doing what I'm doing just because one person doesn't agree with my methods.
Welcome to Moddb!
New here? Alternate account?
Welcome to the community who usually has to work together with other members, asking for permission and/or crediting them for using their stuff. Create an entirely new custom content from scratch? Well ****, if that were the case, this project would've taken even longer than it already did.
Half-Life HD projects suchs as this usually almost always recycle the same content that was created by the users before them, usually reskining them whilst crediting the original author. You want something new created entirely from scratch? Go play Cry of Fear (Good mod btw). Otherwise, you'll be disappointed when it comes to something entirely new in the mod.
The description said it's been rigged...
Science: It's not about asking why. It's about asking "Why the hell not?"
I'm doing them all. Description, bro.
The funny thing is he thinks that I and my friends are insulting him. You and Sharpe here are my only friends on STEAM that have commented on his page (Calling you retarded in the process). I myself have never directly said anything just to do so. I always leave constructive criticism where it's needed.. So I guess anyone who points out the flaws of his work are "My retarded friends" as he put it.
Whatever dude. I just wish for the best in your project.
Slick: Don't mind me guys! I'm just testing the lastest experiment of walking though solid objects!
Seriously, you need to find a better replacement skeleton for those scientist.
Nice PCV there....
^ We have a winner
It's not really so much that I'm laughing at your work. It's just the fact it's funny that someone's doing a similar project to mine. I laughed at Richard0's too so don't feel offended. Just model away and you'll eventually find yourself getting better at it. But still, I'd practice for a while before I'm ready to release work.
The HECU to me are extremely hard to classify as I've told my friends multiple times.
prior to Gearbox when they were just refered to "grunts" or "the military" by the Valve Dev team, One could've easily believed the HECU were apart of the Air Force Security Forces due to their gear loadout and wardrobe. The Air Force operates the V-22 Ospreys (CV-22 variant) and they can even embed a IFV mechanized armor brigade and an AH-64 apache airwing from the army. They wear berets into combat close quarters the same as the USAF security forces do.
But then Gearbox decided to **** logic and classify them as Marines, even continuing giving them items the Marine Corps doesn't use (I.E. berets, "Medics" [Marines don't have medics. They have Corpsmen from the Navy],etc). I really believe Gearbox based their models on the Marines in the movie The Rock that came out close to when Half-Life was initially released.
Then hell, I then began to think maybe the HECU was some sort of task force that recruits any and all service members from all 5 branches of service just like how SOCOM and Delta Force does. Just under the Marine Corps jurisdiction.
Then I though hell, maybe if was the Gearbox DEV teams laziness.
I still highly believe in the Task Force thing, but I'm still going to give them the Force Recon/MARSOC loadout with the HECU in my pack.
I will, but the reason they don't have them by default is you'll confuse them with the HECU Marines that are initially friendly in one chapter in Azure Sheep.
Cool story bro
