Shouldn't that be U.S.S. Neptunae-B?

While it bares some resembles, this ship is not a Sovereign.

It's not a Sovereign class as such though I suppose it did end up looking like the Enterprise-E a little.

I call this type the Neptune Class.

@rkraptor70 Why should it be called the Neptunae B?

Well Neptunae-II means that this is the second ship to be named Neptunae right? In that case the the Federation uses alphabetical order instead of numerical ones. (Though I think you already know that)

BTW why are the Warp nacelles are black instead of blue?

Ah yes, I see. Actually the name is sort of a cross-over from my Space 3000 universe using the ESAD roman numerical designations.
The Neptunae is also an ESAD ship I built you see, and also one of my ships in Star Trek online. Lol. So the name's been around.

But yeah, I suppose that if you look at it like that it should be the Neptunae-B instead of Neptunae II. =)

As for the nacelles. I never liked the blue ones, and there are other ships with only black nacelles so I thought it would be ok.
Besides, there is a small blue bit at the back. Kind of like an exhaust.

Another question (sorry if I am irritating you) What's its armaments? Same that of the Sovereign or it got some new teeth of it's own?

Hmm, it's not really a warship so I didn't really give it much thought. It has the standard front and aft phaser banks, front and aft torpedo launchers(x2) and that's about it.

It has however a high powered deflector dish and experimental long range scanners that (in theory) could detect cloaked ships at long range.

I will write a full list of details later.

That is really a badass ship mate.

Let's get Rod Roddenberry to make a new ST series around this ship :P

Thank you! =)

And a new Star Trek series around this ship? hmm, yes, I like the idea. It could be about a crew of star fleet officers who explore places no man has gone before and oh wait... that's been done already.
Still, Star Trek could use a new series (that isn't that new 2009 thing). =)

Very nice ship. I love all the subtle details, it looks like it could be used in a new cgi cartoon series or something. :D The hull shape looks really cool, I can see elements of soveriegn, voyager, and even early excelsior (unlit nacelles, looks very cool), but the entire design as a whole doesn't resemble any of those ships, but a new, awesome one. Seriously, the overall design looks like it could be the next Enterprise. Awesome work! :D It would be really awesome to see this baby in action, perhaps against a new enemy of the federation? C:

Funny you should mention that because the Excelsior class was always one of my favorites and though it does look more like a Sovereign class, I did base it more upon the Excelsior than any other ship in my mind.

I'll see if I can design some new alien ship/race or so put up a pic of a nice good old ship to ship phaser fight.

Thanks for the comment! =)

I like it. A smaller and maybe cheaper starship. For a replacement for the outdated Akira class and Mirandas right? But 9.12 warp is looks very slow to me. (its a logarithmic scale, so every little difference could mean huge difference)

Cheaper? Don't you know they don't use money in Star Trek, lol, jk =)

It's not really such a small ship when you look at it. With the saucer section stretching out and with the long nacelles it's well over 500 meters long making it bit above the average size of the ships in that era.
Naturally it's not as big as a Sovereign class but still. =)

As for the warp speed. As I recall, the average speed a starship would travel is about warp 5 an no more due to the damage it causes to subspace or some such, so having a high warp speed wouldn't be much of a priority for ship designers.
