Yep, this is the smallest ship I've managed to build so far. Building this I found out it would be possible to make a ship so small it only has one or two rooms. That does remove a lot of options though.
This little ship with decent weaponry, good hull plating and a decent bit of luck will take down pretty much any regular enemy you come across with ease.
On the downside, no med bay, no option for further rooms, no drones and a very small crew indeed.

Well... at least it's an efficient use of space. You could potentially have 4 bonuses going at once, lol.
You know... out of all the ships I've made recently, this is the one I find is the most fun to play. Sure you almost always get killed once you encounter a heavy Mantis ship, but so what, you own everything else up to that point =)
