Dominions 3: The Awakening

Game review

I can honestly say, having now spent a ridiculous number of hours on this game, that it is worthy of the 10's that you see posted here.
True, the graphics are not DX11, but I only care about one thing: is it fun.
The gameplay scales well, it is endlessly replayable, the graphics are varied and well done, and it is as in-depth a game as one might wish for without getting bogged down in pointless details (MOO3 anyone?).
This game evokes the quality and attention that USED to exist in games (SirTech, SSI, Black Isle... I'm talking about you). Clearly, this developer cared about their game and were not fettered by draconian publishers (Activision, Ubisoft, EA... I'm talking about you).
If you like grand-scale strategy and building massive armies to crush your foes, but don't mind learning through your failures, this game is for you.
A classic that blends the detail of older games with the accessibility of modern OS's.

Organ Trail: Director's Cut

Game review

Great game that has almost everything I would want in the edutainment/zombie/retro game genre.
+Graphics and sound are smooth and reminiscent of the Apple II.
+Game is randomly generated and has achievements, making it very replayable.
+Game is true to source materials.
+The game is very playable and polished.
+Scavenging is accessible and fun (moreso than hunting).

-Mouse aiming can jitter slightly at random times. Never became an issue and was rare (1/200 shots-ish).

Would like to see more from this group. Possibly an enhanced edition with role-playing style character creation and greater depth. (This is a very faithful parody. Bravo!).

Recommended for all persons. Seriously. (Even the iPhone/iPad versions).
