For those who want to check out the new Arma 3 MOW Mod check the link below.
This is one of the best skinned Specnaz out there among the Modern Warfare Mods :-D.
For those who do not know, modern warfare mod for MOWAS Without Conditional War (newest update to date) is already available for download. Click here. Vtv-game.moy.su
Just click " Скачать данный материал " to download on the linked website page.
Will you so kindly upload the other models of the factions in BF3? That would be a very awesome Christmas present for all of us! :-D
Oohh! Cpt. Misha, you're on FAYAHHH! You're on Fire! Keep it rollin' baby!
To other Men of War Modern and WW2 and other what Mods Enthusiasts out there like me, if you don't know yet this site, it's Russian, but you can access the "download" features almost instinctively for those who don't know Russian.
This site is a treasure trove for resources for your own MOW Sandbox! And if anyone is skilled enough to script Modern Mod missions using these mods as resources, you're welcome to do so and please share.
You can retexture, reskin to your heart's content!
Here's the site! Have fun!
Nice! I lack the skills to edit the MDL files with regards to "too large" head of the models, and even sometimes the chest of some models is a tad to big for some armors. Nevertheless I leave that to you guys.
Anyways, here is a link to the MOW MOD Metro Lost Faith models I've reskinned. Moddb.com I think the models from the said mod give a richer variety in MOWAS/MOW Modern Mods.
You can also use the models in the METRO mod - I guess you have to ask them if they can allow it - I think they may. I've tried it and it works great too with those models - the only helmet it works with though with the size of the head in metro models are the assault helmets from the UFO Mod and the rus_hr or rus_ht helmet. Just my humble input. The helmets from Cold War (the ones in the picture above), the straps tend to go under the model's chin not so realistically - it cuts through the model's head. Anyway I use a combo of models from POT, Cold War, Metro, and UFO and WiF, etc. Just finding my way to have the best of these mods in my sandbox. :-D
Sweeettt! Can you share the link of the mod where you got this? :-D
Wouldn't it be amazing if MOWAS or MOWAS2 scripting was flexible enough to be able to implement and program BIA tactics?
It is possible though but a LOT of scripting!!! It isn't user friendly as it is.
This pic made me install BIA again in my PC!!!
All I can say is "WOW"! You've made the original mappers of MOWAS wished they took you in considering that stale D-Day Map of theirs - US Mission.
I was able to resize the sizes for the M60s in your addon into the scale befitting MOW/MOWAS models. But is there any way to adjust where the model holds the trigger mechanism? Where the model's hand holds the trigger mechanism is way too high - and not how the model should hold the machinegun. Can you repair this problem please? Thanks!
@Cpt. Misha - All? Are you serious!? Okay then! Bring it on! Port 'em all over to MOWAS! LOL!
As for MOWAS2, DMS should've done better! I mean ALL skirmish missions feel the same - the only difference are the factions and its units. Why not make every faction skirmish mission unique to their own individual warfare doctrine and according to the timeline and development of each faction's technological achievement. Meaning that each faction's doctrine of warfare evolved from 1939 onto 1945. And for crying out loud, it's already MOWAS 2! Can't you change the models back when they were still from MOW? If DMS should've listen and did these things and more, I would have gladly plunked down my money. Instead we are just presented with MOWAS 2 what supposedly MOWAS should have been in the first place.
I thinks that's where COH gains points ahead of MOWAS and MOWAS 2 combined. In COH, when I play a certain faction, I can "feel" I'm playing the uniqueness of that faction be it the faction's ability, etc. When I play the German faction in MOWAS or MOWAS 2, I don't want to feel that the difference from the other factions are the technology, models, weapons, - I want to feel the German blitzkrieg and its unique warfare doctrine among my German soldiers. When I play the Japanese, I want to feel that Banzai spirit, etc. unique to the faction. And it goes on with the Russians, US, and British/Commonwealth. I was expecting a MOWAS 2 that is far "evolved" in AI, uniqueness, etc. than MOWAS.
Nice. Thanks. Porting the German soldiers from Wolfenstein would add more variety to the current models or even replace the models in MOWAS2. :-D
Is there a possibility that you could either port (Rainbow Six Vegas) or make the aforementioned weapons? :-D
Do you have any HKG36K with AG36 grenade launcher? Or an HKG3 LMG?
Would be nice if there would be an animation that would make the gunmen cut corner to shoot or to look and shoot from the corner in a prone or kneeling position.
Nice! Thank you! Keep up the good work! Just asking, do you have some German or Russian models of the same type?
You can add some of the trenches or fortifications from Born In The Fire America mod. :-D
I just can't imagine the fun you're having when you combine these models with the other modern warfare mods you have. Damn! :-D
Wow! Great job!
Any plans of uploading the models? How about the ones in Enemy Front, Red Orchestra, etc. or some new Japanese Models? :-D
Nice!!! Excellent work as usual. Looking forward for more.
I like the SweetFX added in your mod. I can almost see no difference with MOWAS 2 concerning the graphics quality. I also like the way how the missions flow into one another. I know it took a lot of scripting but I guess good missions in MOWAS comes with a lot of good scripting nowadays! I wish you could do more missions like you've done. Keep doing what you're doing. Great work! You guys and other great mods out there are the only reason why I haven't uninstalled MOWAS yet! :-)
I also took the liberty to alter the skin.ply and mdl files of the mercenary models with the skin.ply and mdl files from the rus_soldat humanskin. So as to have the mercenary models fitted with helmets.
I like the way you transformed the MOWV models into the insurgents on your addon. Thank you! By the way the insurgents go well with the terrorist body armor in Moddb.com - thank you.
Did you port this from jonvigo's Tanks of War mod?
You can access them from the Cold War mod website - though it's in Russian.
The Stars and Stripes during the ACW, did not have the full 50 stars during that period. If I'm not mistaken, it was 33 from the beginning of the war and then 35 at the end of the war.
that's what am talkin' about! yeah baby! nice rip and good for the mod!
One of the mods certainly on my watchlist!!!!
@rayorblade - i'm sorry but i beg to differ.
"Modern warfare, although present in every historical period of military history, is generally used to refer to the concepts, methods and technologies that have come into use during and after the Second World War and the Korean War." - Wikipedia. come to think of it, once this mod is finish, i do hope that the wiw team would find another interesting modern conflict to base a new "modern" mod on that isn't covered by other modern mods.
honestly with this mod in mind, i was thinking of not well known modern conflicts such as the brief conflict with China and Vietnam just after the Vietnam War or the Chinese and Russian border disputes and even the Cuban Missile Crisis. lots of ideas from this mod thanks to the wiw team.
modern for that period i mean. like a fictional cold war of some sort during those tense years.
i didn't see the other images 'til later. hence my above comment.
i really do hope that the models we see here in these images aren't just for celebrating May 9 but for a modern mod as well from the wiw team! :-)
will all of these goodies be in the mod or will there be a separate "modern" mod for all these goodies?
wow! that's gotta be a cool programming you did there! can't imagine if they held modern weapons though.
woah! this mod just keeps getting better and better! yipee! more toys to play with!!!
Thanks for the karma fix.
@royal - to make the hueys work in the editor, you have to remove two lines of codes - the editor error popup window will inform you about this - when they do operate, the helis just hover like they're caught in a twister :(
but if you remove those two codes from the .def files, you will experience an error in the singleplayer missions that involve the helis - me thinks it's a scripting problem.
nice added touch. with this added this means that most or some of the building structures would have been modified to have this installed on the walls or doors. nice! makes urban combat a lot more interesting and it expands strategy.
@kaskrin - you're such a hypocrite. jumping to sides when it suits you. you have fun from the mods you downloaded from vora then stab him in the back. judging from your personality i am very sure that if sl comes out you would be quick to merge vora's mods with their mod.
on what basis? kastrenzo's video clip? yeah right.
here's what vora has to say.
nice to see it's active again.
that's a nice proposal - i may have to do some research on their equipment though when i'm not busy and thanks for the offer for some voice acting. that would be great!
fookin' a class loser!
m82 pattern - and argentine commandos and other sof units have been trained by the USA
kewl with all the dust effects...maybe this is a movie that sets the mood for a singleplayer mission.
since the british are now included in your mod, will you be adding mwik land rover variants for the british troops and the mwmik jackal for british special operators?
rebuke accepted! sorry! :)
my bad!!! lol! i was thinking of cannons... thanks for the correction bro!
i think some of our V100s are retired now. what could they do against abu sayyaf anti-tank weapons like the carl gustav and rpg7
