Might not work for everyone, but I managed to get passed this error and at least in to starting the game with a character created and beating the thief etc (So far).
I made sure "Load textures on demand" was checked in the configuration before running the mod (I think it is off as standard?)

I'll give the low res version a go, but my computer should be more than capable.
Unless this mod suddenly requires more than 6 GB ram. Mount & Blade warband alone runs on max with ease.
But yeah, I've had this issue with the lase few patches. before 1.3 / 1.31 All was well.

Turns out the crash is due to the
"C:/Program Files/MountBlade Warband/Mb_warband.exe this applicaton has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information."
Error. I've not been able to play this mod since 1.3/1.31

That error made 1.5 unplayable for me.
Or I could get into the game but got a crash as soon as I entered a battle.

I get a crash after selecting Create New Game.
My Mount & Blade version is 1.167, is this the reason? Is there a way to revert to a previous patch (1.166)?
