Incredible mod, better than most commercial games. Interesting world & plot, surprisingly good rework of original mechanics, a ton of little details (such as random encounters).
I also like how it implemented "dark" plot twists. Even though the mod has its fair share of drama, it's not something existentially depressing (I'm looking at you, Enderal) and doesn't leave bad aftertaste.
Great rework, great attention to details, tons of big and small changes that make for an interesting replay.
An interesting rework of the game's balance.
Recently they made the campaigns compatible and they were very fun to play.
Objectively? 10/10.
The attention to details, the world design, it's really well-done and extremely impressive.
Subjectively? Still 10/10 for gameplay but like 2/10 for plot. I stopped in the middle of the game and deleted it after reading some spoilers.
With all the sad and bad things I see around myself in real world, with all the things I would like to change but can't because I'm not some influential politician, I really don't want from a game to leave the same aftertaste, to teach me the learned helplessness.
At least in a virtual world I want my actions to matter on a grand scale.
And I would even understand if we had different options but were cleverly tricked into following the wrong one, but the way the plot is railroaded... it's just not fun.
So it's very sad for me to see so much efforts spent on something that is meant to sadden and disappoint, not inspire and exhilarate.
Perfect!
Love the parrot.
A very unique and entertaining mod.
My favorite mod so far. Everything is excellent about it: its lore, its atmosphere, the gameplay, the map size, the factions etc.
I can't say that version 3.7 introduces any drastic changes, but it still perfects PoP even more.
Currently my favorite G2NR modification among the ones released in the past couple of years.
Despite the fact that Jharkendar is actually my least favorite native location, I really did enjoy it in "Golden Gate". Visual changes, the plot, characters, new stuff such as group conversations - the mod is almost perfect.
The only thing I didn't like was quite a few quests which made me look for something. Despite my best efforts, i still couldn't find the stolen orcish recipe, have absolutely no idea where to look for flint, it took me no less than half an hour to find the lost necklace and I probably would have never found the bloody axe had I not googled that quest.
I look forward to seeing the second part of the mod and would like to thank all the developers for such a great work.
Just please don't make so many "find a needle in a haystack" quests.:)
