Yeah, there's pretty much only one way to fight the spiders-- by going on top of the ship via the elevator and shooting them.
Ahh ok, I'll keep that in mind for the next update. Now you can adjust mouse sensitivity and walk speed in the options menu-- which can be accessed by pressing f2 or going there from the main menu.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked visuals!
Hey, thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! There will be more updates to come!
Hey man! Three new big updates have been added to the gun: Rudder, Jump and Stats mode. The image above shows three new icons in the blue screen on the gun.
STAT MODE: Pressing the shield icon on the left gives the player the status of the ship. Ship stats will tell the player what the strength is of the ship's hull and shield. Written as so: SHD = shield strength, BDY = hull \ ship body strength.
JUMP MODE: The Arrow icon on top is the "jump" function. In version 1.2, there was a progress bar added when you starjumped-- telling you how much longer the jump sequence would last. So now that feature can be displayed on the gun. Also, this function will show the player their score-- points they get when blasting rocks away, fighting spiders or even disarming warships.
RUDDER MODE: The steering wheel icon to the right is the new "rudder mode". Rudder mode allows the player to steer the ship from the roof of the ship and regulate the speed from the gun. Basically, you press the trigger button and the ship will steer in the direction of the blue laser.

Thanks for following my game, SpaceJourney!
Is this from a game you're working on, or more like a tech demo?
Hey, this looks awesome!

Hey, that's great to hear! Feel free to let me know what you think of it!
Thank you so much!
Many thanks for your feedback and comments. I appreciate the support.
That's great that you got 2 pieces! If you die the game will return you to sector 1, but you still keep your inventory. In the next update or so there should be save games so you can come back to your inventory if you quit the game.
I would love to do multiplayer (co-op would work especially well). But it might be a while before I dive into actually putting it in, since, it would be a can of worms trying to program that and I'm currently the only programmer.
Thanks for playing!

No problem about being late! haha
And many thanks!
No problem at all about the slow reply! And thank you for your feedback \ compliments.
P.S. Sorry I didn't see the other parts of your message. If the game is running slow for you, it might be a line of code I messed up on to optimize the game. I will focus on the performance of the game in the next update. Also, you can adjust your walk speed in the options menu.
Ship communication will be in the future updates. Others have suggested that you can float out in space. I will let you know as well if I decide to implement this. Many thanks again!
Since English is not your native language, I had to use a website to translate your message into English. So I apologize if there are any major communication issues.
Thank you for the compliment about the gameplay. And yes, it is very much meant to be like a simulator. And no problem for the delay, I should also apologize for my delay.
First of all, thanks for playing! I think you're one of the few that's beaten the game, to my knowledge. If you get all 4 pieces there should be a "complete" artifact added to your inventory and if you check your score you should have a nice bonus!
After beating the game, the only other thing to do (besides just roam around), if you haven't already, is to get the other items from the other sectors-- like for instance there's a gas can item you can retrieve in sector 1 and a pogo stick in sector 2. Each sector has one item besides the artifact pieces. In the next update or so, there will be achievements, so the game will at least recognize that you did that kind of stuff after beating the game.
I want to apologize for your ship getting decimated so fast when you were at full power! Which sounds like some kind of error in the game. Now after dying, the game should just return you to sector 1, with your inventory intact. But I still think being able to save your game in the future will help things. That way, you can still come back to the game after beating it.
Again thanks for playing and thanks for posting your comment! Its appreciated.
Thank you! Its appreciated.
Nice, haha! Thanks for playing!
How was it, performance wise? Some people have been reporting sluggish-ness.
Very true! haha
Haha!! I like that.
Many thanks! I appreciate that.
Oh, ok! Sorry about this!
I'll give you the link from my dropbox account, of the same file. Hopefully this will work better.

So far the indieDB and Facebook pages are as official as a website can get. Mostly because indieDB is already a good system for posting updates and getting noticed in return.
Facebook is another good tool for networking and getting the word out. Here is a link to the facebook page: Facebook.com
And thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment! That's a good point about the size of the ship and how much detail is put on it. But I'll still give your idea a try for the next update (v1.3).
Hey, thanks for tracking SpaceJourney! I am grateful.

Not at the moment, but being able to choose alternate cross-hairs designs in the options screen is something I'll see about adding! Thanks for your feedback!
Ok, I will definitely keep that in mind and see if there's something I can do to spruce it up. Thanks for the input!

I have to say, I'm quite flattered by this! haha
Haha, good point! Thanks for commenting too.
Well already in the game, there's different sized meteors and different colored ones too. There's also a comet floating around in sector 2. So I guess it really boils down to making variations in the meteor textures (like by changing the number of craters and where the craters are placed).
So I'll make a few "alternate" meteor textures for the next release to give them a little more variation. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hey, thanks for following my profile!
I really like this shot and especially the train model!
Thanks for tracking SpaceJourney! I appreciate that.
Thanks for adding SpaceJourney to your track list! I appreciate the interest!
Great suggestion! I'll definitely keep it in mind. If I was to implement it, I'd have to decide if I want to just change the texture or actually add those to the model itself (probably for now, I'd just modify the texture and try it out).
Thanks for the great feedback!

Oh and thanks for posting your suggestions \ comments!
Doing a planet in the style of minecraft \ 3079 isn't a bad idea. I guess I would prefer making the terrain smoothed. But yeah, larger planets (like even planets a 3rd of the size of earth) couldn't have the entirety of it be feasibly explorable (and usefully explorable). So yeah, good point about segmenting the planets into manageable chunks!
I think for this planet, since its pretty much a small moon, allowing a rover to roam around wouldn't be too hard to do. I just need to work out how the spherical gravity would be coded.
As for kickstarter \ donations. At this point, I'm trying to get the demo to be more presentable. That way it can be a good launch pad to market a larger and commercialized version of the game to a publisher. But thanks for asking about this, so far you're the first! I appreciate the interest.

Could you please tell me what is annoying about the Spacejumping part? Just so I know if I can improve it in some way. I'm open to constructive critique to make the game better.
