I only ask that you keep your faith in this project, if you don't feel you can the no hard feelings.

Yes mod's will be possible.
We are WftO, ignore that page.
If the only thing you cared about was the aesthetic then yea, see you later.
We will be changing alot about the games visual design in order to remedy this, don't expect to see any of the old characters or designs in the game. However there will be new units we have created ourselves.
That's actually wrong, we never planned to become commercial at any point, and now it's only became a possibility. Any form of project that uses another companies assets is copyright infringement, it doesn't matter if the project is free.
The do have a idle animation, they don't use it in this video however.
This is exactly why, we needed models for each creature so the programmers could implement them without having to wait for fully rigged models of each creature. With the dummy we have a bunch of textures we swap depending on the creature.
Of course we are.
Just a question I'd like to see everyone's response in, in the latest news post we showed a before and after picture, as you can see in the first picture it consists of the same variation all around, while on the second id does not.
My question is, does the second picture appear to have truly random variation in the dirt blocks?
I know i said news would be up yesterday, it really was, just the periods of waiting for admin to authorize news is a total pain. It's not been let through yet.
We have been slightly inactive for the summer holidays.but since those are almost over we should be back up to full speed very soon. Rest assured we are always working in the background.
Song is in video's description ;)
That was a very old demo of our old engine, I have just removed it, you will have to wait to open beta in order to play the game.
We also recognized DKII as being slow and we are going to try everything we can to make it as fast paced as DKI.
If the engine allows us to get the game ported to macs then we will take the opportunity.
We are implementing a few varation features, like bits of armor and different shades of colour on different creatures, all creatures will also "morph" as they level up, instead of just getting bigger the creatures will get meaner looking, and look more deadly than they did before as each level passes.
Yes team games will be a feature, players can also pick heroes to play as and have multiplayer keeper vs hero battles.
Yea, as a unit, like he was in DKI, just in DKI he was TOO powerfull, so we are going to make him still as feared as he was, just not have the ability of being able to fight armies of creatures at level 10.
You probably didn't read the FAQ (no one does) but the game is based off of DKI's mechanics and direction, all the creatures from DKI are returning, plus more, horned reaper is a unit again, not a spell. So you can have multiple of them instead of one that lasts only so long.
Also don't be so hard on Peter M, the man's still a genius ;)
Yes everything will be different later on. We have some textures applied to things now, expect to see them in the next video
There are some hurdles, but we are overcoming them. So far it's a brilliant engine.
That's an old engine, using DKI's textures for testing.
Water is going to be a terrain, as it always was, but it will provide more bonuses for creatures, like this tentacle. He is able to swim better therefore he is much faster in water.
