Anything less said would be an insult for our lead programmer, he sure is one goddamn genius :)
Unfortunately not yet but there will be proper info in advance ;)
Coming soon - under barrel grenade launchers :)
Will be included in the game release, of course.
Nope, Akella (Ed)
Yeap, Hind, my favorite helicopter. Oh damn, I've said smth. I should've kept secret. Now team leader is going to pull my ears :)
Thanks fellas. Our programmer is one hell of a soldier! Us, designers, feel like a kid in a candy store now - we can implement more ATGM platforms. MP games are gonna be so interesting now :)
Video of something new is coming right up, it will show what I've been talking about before. Stay tuned :)
Can't confirm anything (it's against common sense to confirm something that's not fully implemented) but let's just say one type of our rifle can plop something bigger than a bullet and some objects are flying in a rather controlled fashion :)
hope it helps
Hopefully soon enough (in upcoming weeks) we shall have better news of our new features. I am not allowed to tell you fellas what it is but I can hint it:
"one leaves a smaller pipe,
flying as a bomb,
where it hits it's a sight
flying over the comb.
the other one you can guide,
to make enemy scared,
as it flies cable stay,
so you get overturned."
Hope it helps figuring out two new features under development :)
(and that my little song is not that bad :)
Marines, what else :)
Thanks mate. All modelling credit goes to Igetfer, our main modeller. Just like with T-55 there are a lot of variants of T-72, hopefully will show them soon :)
I can confirm ranges are larger and are still under balancing. Our goal is to create "realistic" ranges, if that's even possible. Fair enough, you don't really fight on 300, 400 meters with assault rifles (you can fire of course but accuracy is low) but then again we don't want to limit you to 30 or 50 meters for a gunfight. Cannons and tanks have way larger range. Can't disclose exact numbers but it's going to be interesting, especially in the MP. I have a feeling people will tend to run to urban areas, to get some cover ;)
It can be quite a challenge but you can mess T-72 with this tank if you have newer shells. It's quite fast, can be used quite nicely to flank and attack enemy tanks from the back. Then again there is T-62 as well (well, we have several T-54/55 variants in the game but more info will be posted later on :)
I will try to get damaged and destroyed model as well and render them. Than you for the interest and idea :)
Our programmers are currently working on this feature, to make it fully guided. Problem of course is that there are several generations of them which differ in accuracy, speed, guidance etc. Plus some of them are fired from the IFV turrets (and some from tank barrels). We hope that this feature works out, community will be by all means notified of the progress :)
Thanks. I just wish I've done better render. Hopefully very soon BMP-1 skin will be ready for rendering.
(one little secret - they might be completely separate force in multiplayer, which you can choose as a nation)
Drago mi je da to cujem :)
Sorry for bothering you with this irrelevant question - haven't noticed I had old version of MoW. Updated to the latest version and it works.
Good work on campaigns and everything. Keep it up.
Congratulations on an excellent work. This mod constantly surprises me, like what has been seen in the videos (true combat conditions).
Just wanted to ask, I am getting a problem with ammo.set, with unexpected token error, this is causing the problem:
Hope you can help me out. Best regards.
As soon as time permits we are going to translate interview into Russian and post it on BW along with the up-date screenshots. Sorry for the delay.
Thank you for the good comment and suggestions. Yeah, that's our practical plan - Alpha first. Probably shouldn't say this but we have our programmers on the full throttle, doing some changes in the engine, making it better. More will be said later since we are still testing and implementing new things. We are cut short of time due to the extent of work but sure, proper website and forum will be set up - ModDB is a good way to present people what we are working, at least in the basic form. We shall have a website then, just to finish some already started works (for instance, my current task is to finish new BMP-2 skin, for the enhanced and bug-free model, one co-worker is preparing Toyotas right now etc.) :)
Thank you for the insight and good suggestions and I completely agree with you - we are going to do it more open and wide (promotion wise). People might think MoW series are dying out, it is our task to bring more people in, show them full potential of GEM engine. And thank others for their comments and taking your time to post it.
Not sure about release date, when it's done :)
Yeap, this is commercial game.
Thanks mate, we are giving our best (but it's still WIP, it's bound to change and enhance).
Oh yes, I believe people will be interested in making maps and mods for it, would be shame to leave you guys without an Editor :)
Thanks guys. Can't wait 'till you start playing it :)
I will post more screens on later as well, concerning other parts of the map.
Oh yes. You can get into the windows, you will fire from the roof tops and pieces of building can be knocked out :)
Right now these close buildings under construction, that red-roofed one, one behind it and one on the right side (and the one behind). Working on the tall apartment blocks in the middle far, to be accessible for the infantry :)
Still more objects are required to be added (new ones I mean).
