As Leie already stated this is a free time project and for that reason the development is not as linear as in professional projects. While the EaW version has more content at the moment it's way less polished as the FoC content.
We do this for years now and have learned that there is no need to rush things. We will take our time to create the best mod possible.

Yep that's possible as the Steam and CD version have different installation paths.
Yes there will be galactic conquest but it's not finished yet.

That is not the Goauld barracks, nor the command center but with this temple you can build advanced units like the field commander or Ash'rak.

As Doci said the wave mode was easily made(as you don't need any new models) by just one of our coders who needed to take a break from the GCs. As you already pointed out we don't own the license to produce a "real" game. For that reason our approach is not quite straight forward as our members a) can't work fulltime on it and b) want to have fun doing it. The part about fun is the lone reason why the wave mode exists. Someone saw the possibility, made this mode, shared it with the team and we decided that it would sweeten you the wait for the GCs a bit and shared it with all of you. ;)
About the 304er: They have the F-301 as fighters for balancing reasons. The F-302 would be to powerful early in the game.

We're not supporting the 1.X version for EaW anymore but there is a help desk within our forum: Stargate-eaw.de
Maybe your questions is already covered there and if not the community might be able to help. :)
we used .bat files in the early days of EaW modding but as things evolved so did our file management.
Apart from starting the mod the mod launcher can
- Install the mod for you
- Install updates automatically
- Provide multiplayer support long after the initial gamespy service has gone down
- Launch the mod with the steam version without editing the starting options
- Test your online compatibility
- And much more
But in case that you still want to use the good old .bat file...
Just open a new text file add “swfoc MODPATH=Mods\Stargate “(without the “) save and close it. Afterwards edit .txt to .bat and there you go.
If there is feedback that more people need it we might add it into a future version. But so far everyone seems to be happy with the launcher service. :)
