We're not supporting the 1.X version for EaW anymore but there is a help desk within our forum: Stargate-eaw.de

Hey mikey,
we used .bat files in the early days of EaW modding but as things evolved so did our file management.

Apart from starting the mod the mod launcher can
- Install the mod for you
- Install updates automatically
- Provide multiplayer support long after the initial gamespy service has gone down
- Launch the mod with the steam version without editing the starting options
- Test your online compatibility
- And much more

But in case that you still want to use the good old .bat file...
Just open a new text file add “swfoc MODPATH=Mods\Stargate “(without the “) save and close it. Afterwards edit .txt to .bat and there you go.
If there is feedback that more people need it we might add it into a future version. But so far everyone seems to be happy with the launcher service. :)

Well I don't think that the Asgard are somehow related. I think their names are more connected to their ranks and nature. So Thor is a quite powerfull Asgard but Odin is the leader of the high council.

The new ship and it's map will be released early 2015. The GCs and the Ground part need more time to complete.
The ZPM hive is bigger but Odins ship is larger than any other Asgard vessel.

Personally I'm a friend of staying as close to the MP provider as possible so I would prefer Tunngle but if it works for our community it would be awesome. ;)

Well the goal of the AI is to destroy your station...so it's acting as it should in this case.
However it's true that the AI is often focusing on one main battle and brings in ships till there are no ressources left.

There is not really a change to solve that but we're trying to code our units as close to the original ones as possible so the AI can use them at least as good as it used the FoC units.

Yep that would be indeed cool but we won't do that as that ship design is not our own. Also we want to stay as close to the series as possible, we just invent ships if there is a need for them gameplay-wise.
The SOL for example was invented to combat the super hive and Anubis. ;)
