1. Rar is not native archive format and requires additional software while zip is supported by most systems.
2. WinRar is not free although you can use it for free.
3. You put single pk3 (zip) archive inside rar archive. That doesn't makes much sense to me. I don't think someone is reading readmes.
4. 7z is free, better format and generally more comfortable as a software if you ignore fact that it needs a manual setup once.
I think using zip is just more professional, but that is just my opinion.
