Open Steam. In your gameslist or Library find Cry of Fear. Right click on it and choose properties. Choose "Set Launch Options". Write "-num_edicts 2047" there, without the quotes. The number can be different but try these first. I don't know if this fixes the problem but I remember to have this problem with other mods a long time ago.
