Improved bullet physics, realistic damage system, and plenty of wonderful, wonderful weapons to choose from. The gunplay finally feels satisfying! Some workarounds had to be put in place in order for certain weapon modifications to work, making the interface a bit clunky (especially since you can't bind the multitool to one of the F1-F4 slots, or the game will crash!), but excepting that, I don't think I could ever play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. again without this mod!
Look... In this game, you go from a random peasant wearing rags with an old, dusty sword screwing about the land. A month later, real-time, you are the emperor of a massive emperor spanning the continent.
That's what you can do in this game. But how do you get to that empire? Killing things? Not necessarily. That's what's so great about this game, what separates it from other freeform RPGs. If you're smart, you can get your way to the top by nothing through deceit and manipulation, and playing the system against itself.
Or you could just, you know, hire some peasants and go around raiding caravans for ***** and giggles. It's up to you.
It's beautiful. Go get this game. And mod the hell out of it.
The only thing I can say against this game is that it looks a little dated, but there are mods for that, too! And as we all know, graphics don't matter.
