I have installed it correctly but every time I load it, a black screen comes up for 4 seconds then crashes and then leaves an error report... Please help a dude out

I've installed it correctly, without using the provided shortcut (because it doesn't work for me). It seems to initiate but then crashes after a 3 second black screen then returns to the desktop... Please help me out...

I try starting a skirmish and it always just crashes when the loading is complete... Any suggestions?
