Looking damn cool! If only they made the Warhammer series open for different IP mods.
It could have had the potential for the best Middle Earth mod ever in a total war :(

Oh, and we might as well start saving for 100$ in DLC

Hehehe... Yeah I was thinking about it, when it comes to the DLC part. Every Time a new Total war game comes out, it's not total full game, there will always come DLC.

But I was hoping for more of a "Total War: Middle Earth" than a new part of TW: Warhammer... It's too soon to give out more about the Warhammer series from SEGA since the last one didn't come too long ago.

Warhammer fantasy is better for a video game with its hugely different factions, magic, constant battles everywhere.

From what I have heard this will be more like an expansion pack than a standalone game. Remember the first dawn of war? You could actually join all the games into 1: vanilla + winter assault + dark crusade etc... You will be able to join warhammer 1 and 2 the same way. It uses the exact same game engine, so there is total compatibility. Imagine a grand campaign with the factions and all the regions of both games and dlcs... It is going to be huge. Bretonnia, empire, dwarves, vampire counts, green skins, chaos, beastmen, wood elves... And now high elves, lizardmen, dark elves and skavens. What is left? Ogre kingdoms and tomb kings as dlc?

So:
I.ytimg.com

yeah its already been confirmed as the first free release dlc as a combined campaign map, biggest map to date. with the same attention to detail as the original maps. I just hope modders focus on this bigger map and not the smaller ones.
