The problem with "capes and cloaks" is that it uses the wieghting of the standard skeleton. So when you walk, your feet clip through the bottom of the cloak. Thus the reason why they are so far away. We've made a custom skeleton with bones and animations for the cloak. Also included are skirts, tunics, and dresses.

It's called a "bonnet".

"It looks awesome but aren't orcs supposed to be a little crooked and bent? And imperfect? Not straight and tall like a human? Just saying (I know my english is not that good)"

This is called classic or "standard" T pose. Most humanoid figures use this pose as rest position before animating.

re: pan

It was taken from a pic of a medieval kitchen. It was hanging in a fireplace. I think it's a cauldron spoon for stirring laundry etc..

ME is based on Medieval times. More close to medieval, then present day. So it's obvious that people and Orcs will wear "Tunics". They are the basic set of clothing for that time. I took inspiration from a reference pic of some existing armor done for the movie. The mask is my own concept.

You will see some interesting and different things as well.The orcs are pretty mismatched, and don't have a specific uniform.

Creatures still need too be modeled. We are focusing on Bree atm. After buildings, clutter etc, are done, then we will move on the to the creatures (unless someone joins who can sculpt creatures). ZenTSaw (the person who did the fellbeast) is working on the Warg from a concept I made.

And you think you'll get hired after saying that? lol

We prefer not to call our team mates "idiots".

@davozk

Do you know how many models I have made in the past 3 weeks? You come on here with a commment like that.

Who cares if elderscrolls 5 comes? why does this mean we need to stop modding MERP? "Oh no! ELderscrolls 5! Everybody stop!"

It's not going to happen :-) So relax. I think we should be giving everyone cheers and support not "You won't finish it."

I mean, what the point of that anyway? Do you have a crystal ball?

And secondly, Do you know anything about making games? We do, and have been doing so for the past year. You have no idea what we have discussed in relation to tes 5, and how that will effect MERP.

So my words to you: Enjoy it anyway. It's not often you get a mod like this. Not for Middle Earth anyway.

And finally, I'd like to say thanks to all the persons involved, who without them not even "this" would be possible.

Thanks for playing. Stay tuned.

@userxxi

I was asked when working on a model whether it was "the Hall of Fire or Not", so I decided to call it that. The inside will have chairs and a big pit/fireplace, decorations, etc.. Since it's for storytelling it will have that kind of atmosphere. The shape of the building is fire-esque, and the statues are holding little flames.

@kfrk

Generally non-character armor will be, but characters will keep theirs unless you take it from them (we are discussing that issue atm). There will most likely be Easter eggs planted around though.

No readme. Nothing.

I would really like to play this mod and am grateful for the time you put in, but HOW DO YOU INSTALL IT?

I've tried with OBMM. Nope. Didn't work (messed up the land and LOD)

Installed a new version of Oblivion. Nope didn't work (crashed on sewer exit)

Is it compatible with Shivering Isles? Knights of the Nine?

Really. What's the point of making such big MOD if your not going to go into some detail about compatibility and such.

I have found it in three locations: Strategy informer, Here (MODDB) and Filefront. All of them have the same simplistic description.

After multiple installs and lack of helpful resources this Mod is going into the "Could have been good folder".

I'm glad those who got it working are enjoying it.
