Same issue here. Brand new AMD 6-core system, blah blah.
CSS, HL2, Gmod, Portal, L4D2, etc all work fine.
Interestingly enough, Moonbase Alpha has this same issue for me. Someone's suggestion as to a fix for that problem was to lower the sample rate to 48kHz, but alas this does not work for Korsakovia.
Itching to play this mod, as I've heard nothing but great things about it.
