Report RSS continuation from last blog

well here's somewhat of a continuation from my last blog.
So I was left with voilence in the media. And that's one of the aspects I'd like to write about here.
I wonder how much people realize they have been used to seeing dead people and destruction.
And I don't mean real deaths, no, I mean the ones from the movies and series on TV, the ones from
games and anime. I'm not directly talking to people from my own age group, and it seems to me it's
the younger generation I'm often worried about. And all of this to me has to do with the devaluation
of life in general. In times gone by weople would treat life as a sacred. and thats one of the reasons I dismiss as science to have all the answers, because the only thing that science does is shows you how things work, and not why. especially the more complex you get with variations and whatnot.
And to me life is still sacred, people till an extend depending from person to person, are sacred.
Just because I know how my body works to me does not mean it's not something holy, or even magical perhaps. which brings me to another point is that, I don't feel that within any enemy I meet in game, multiplayer aside, because that's playing against real people. eventho, you're killing 3d polygons. but for how long will that be true? just look at where it's going, games are getting too real for my taste already. hl2 right now as it is, and even some games with more realistic graphics are fine.
It's games like cod4 that didnt apealed to me at all. even if the gameplay is so well, it's just too real for me. I liked the old days of cs, because it was fictional, the areas where full of a sense that you didnt know where it was, except italy and dust. thing is, they where simple maps. I just feel that with allot of games today, theres just too much glorifying violence. And don't get me wrong, I love fps games, and games in general. Too me theres just a difference when I play metal gear, hl2, quake, doom3 or other games like that. theres tons of voilence and grose graphics in games like doom and quake, but the diffrence is that you dont kill people. and lets say games like mgs, yes you can kill people in there, but you can also just putthem to sleep, which i did allot. but the fact is that the whole thing is fictional, set in a real background of events from history with its own interpertation.

All I'm saying inthe end is that if you use voilence for a reason, and dont glorify it so much that killing itself is a glorious thing. always have a good reason for anyperson to start shooting. I just play games for the story gameplay and experience combined. not for the killing, although its fun aslong as I can see it's a game. and games like half life 2 just do that perfectly for me.

well, boomshakalaka i think im done for now. bye bye and hey no offence to people who enjoy a good game of cod4, or whatnot. Im just talking bout the games, not their players. I never like to talk about a type of group in a general way. anywho, peace out everyone.
