Durability and hitpoints somewhat the same stuff.

The original men of war mechanics also take account of armor degrading in a certain radius. Thus a non penetrating shot still deal damage to vehicle. However, the mechanic itself still has flaws : you can vaporize a tank with 3-4 shots at the same spot, but you cant vaporize a tank even with 1 shot at the back + 1 shot at the side + 1 shot at the rear + 1 shot at the top.

I believe any shell has devastating effect when it enters inside a tank, no matter where.

In case, you want to know more about the piercing mechanic in the game. Just install MoW Vietnam, enable "con_debug" + "dbg_piercing" and see it yourself.

yeah the mod gets a lot more fun when all the tanks have a higher level of HPs but not all people like that. They prefer to have a bit feeling of realism.
Honestly i think 350hp for a light tank, 700hp for a medium tank, 800-900hp for a heavy tank and 1000hp for a super heavy tank is the sweet spot

Unfortunately, these models are not present in the normal client ( may be there are on the supertest client, but i'm no super tester )
I've been giving thought about the Brits ( Conqueror , Centurion Mk. 9) or ISU-152, King Tiger and IS-3

T-54A (produced 1955–1957) is one of the mass production models of the T-54s series. It has comparative performance vs M48A1 both in real life and my mod.

E-50, E-75 on the other hand are blueprint projects. They might be added for fun but not this time. There're a lot more interesting fighting vehicles to port.

OK if u really want it so badly i could rework the mod mechanics into 2 separated style ( MoW and WoT).
Be patient. I really don't know how long it gonna takes, as the tank models were originally simplified for the WoT mechanics.

you know you might have a point. I'll probably alter some of might damage mechanic to the original MOW style, but not right now. There are still lots of things that need to be done first in the mod.

And btw, i'm not from around here, i'm from Vietnam :)

2.anything ~ 120mm caliber in my mod will instantly vaporize the AMX-13/90.
3.you know Serb ( WOT dev ) used to say :
" Want realism, join the army "

about the original Men of War damage mechanic :
- armor degrading in a certain radius until it reach a defined durability value --> armor break.

instead of using the old durability value, i adopt WOT health point mechanic because it scale extremely well with the shell caliber

to get rid of tank hitpoints, for example T-54A just delete "("tank_vitality" hp(830))" in T-54A.def

1.I can guarantee you vanilla Men of War will be supported in the next version.

2.Sorry but I dont really understand "custom settings" part?

3.Right now, I'm doing historical Cold War, then some WWII vehicles I think. Blueprint vehicles get the least priority
