i have an issue with horrible mouse acceleration, turning it down in the menu doesnt seem to do anything. it speeds up and slows down very erratically, and it makes combat really unpleasant, i read that there is a patch for it called prec_mouse.rar which ican only find dead links for on old russian forums, or that it was included in the 1.1 patch.

try trading with the dutiers around the checkpoint, one of them probably picked it up.

its not the headbob in the options thats the problem, even with all that turned down theres still a lot of camera movement up and down due to the way its attached to the player model. i just wish there was a way to change that

is the camera being attached to the player models head built into the engine? i've tried turning all the head bobbing and cam_inert stuff to 0, but the camera movement bobbing up and down and back and forth gives me motion sickness and i'm trying to figure out how to disable it and revert it back to a normal camera. i've been poking through the scripts with not much luck as i don't really have any LUA knowledge.

i kind of bounced right off the first two because of how directionless they were, source is a lot better for that kind of thing. im in the process of revisiting the older ones now that i've played a bit of this one, also i hear the original dev team is remastering the first one now.

Moddb.com for anyone who played the previous reborn mods, the newest one "Source" recently got an english translation. its a lot more accessible than the previous reborn entries, with alot more content. something like 82 maps? ive been playing it for a little bit and it might be onf my favourite mods so far, might need the help of some russian youtube walkthroughs for some parts though.

slowly yeah, 2nd is being developed on the unreal engine using the resources they made from kenshi sales. the original used the ogre engine, its one of my favourite games. also one that doesn't neatly fit into any particular genre, so i think its a good example

i feel like with the mechanical complexity, aesthetic variety and potential for a cool cast of characters a hybrid of something like morrowind and kenshi would be great, similar to an open-world c&c renegade. i voted modern rpg with morrowind in mind rather than skyrim, mostly because i like its combat better its more in line with warbands (minus the dice roll-esque stuff) but i feel like slotting into any particular genre would limit its potential

ah yeah i played quite a lot of the old versions but the recent ones dont work too well on my computer, plus i'm a little bored with freeplay mods now after playing them for years. currently just playing through OGSR, vector of alienation, op-2.09, alternativa 1.3.2 + hardcore addon, ns-dmx and last stalker so my hands are pretty full.

oh man good luck with that one, its probably one of the most poorly designed mods i've played even though it has some interesting aesthetic stuff going on. the version on the spreadsheet (7.64) starts you off far away from your first story objective and doesn't mark any transitions on the map, and going through almost all level transitions seems to strip you of your gear. from what i know the older version (7.63) starts you off closer to the story at least. all the reborns are true "hell mods"

sorry if you guys are already aware of this but i thought id let you know about this google docs spreadsheet Docs.google.com its got google drive links to lesser known stalker mods on it and some that afaik aren't on moddb. unfortunately quite a few of them are machine translated with yandex or deepl so they can be a bit hard to understand though, if you can stand the rough translations its better than nothing.

i found 2 of them at least! heres one Youtube.com the other is "vsya moya lubov" also by t.A.T.u. from the same album, so i assume the one or two others ive heard are also by tatu.

for some reason they're all tucked away in sounds > characters_voice > scenario > bar > radio_music

i ended up removing the persuadatron from just about every troop using morghs editor because of the fact that persuaded enemies dont count towards casualties, so if you have too many troops with them equipped you can get unlucky and end up having to fight the same handful of enemies several times.

i mean the commanders of the bandit war parties like SCIPIO GLABAA (leader of the lost legion war parties) or undead warchief ushgank (grand undead horde leader), they have their own unique gear. in ver 1.10 you could just talk to them after taking them prisoner and eventually get to a dialogue option that would let you take their gear (this was without cheat or edit mode enabled, it was just a normal dialogue option)

i just wasn't sure if that was an intentional decision in 1.10 i guess, since you don't seem to be able to do that anymore.

are the different war party leaders gear back to rare drops like it was in older versions? i think in 1.1 you used to be able to take it off them after going through some dialogue options with them. just wondering cause i usually make it a goal to collect all the "legendary" type armour/weapons in every playthrough.

i was referring to battles rather than the overworld, the overworld has been super busy which i'm a fan of. its like gekokujo with the amount of wars being declared every day and towns/castles being taken, everytime i revisit an area somethings changed.

I.imgur.com heres the screenshot, i could always tell it was too many because i would be swarmed by the when moving through the desert, i cant really tell now because they're neutral to me.

i'm not too far in atm so i'll probably have to get back to you on the difficulty once i've progressed a bit more.

im playing the futuristic scenario atm and i love the new visuals for hte cities, new textures and items and races all look awesome so no problems there, liking the new sounds a lot too. main issues im having so far are sometimes AI lords will just stand there and do nothing forever, i think it might have something to do with not being able to see each other due to the terrain possibly (ill have to test it out more). another thing is that sometimes i'll tell my troops to charge and they'll move around for a bit but not really do anything.

one more issue im having is that, from what i can tell there are still too many star gate expedition parties on the battlefield. i'm seeing them all over the desert region in much higher numbers than every other group, this happened in the old version too. i remember there being a way to see exactly how many parties there were in the world before but i cant seem to find it now, i had a screenshot from ver 1.10 where it says that all otehr minor faction party numbers were pretty much capped at about 33 except star gate soldiers which had 226 parties.

its on top of one of the storage crates at the duty checkpoint, what can happen though is sometimes one of the dutiers will pick it up so you have to buy it off them.

theres a lot of video guides for these things on youtube actually, just for future reference. although they're generally in russian so you'll need to use google translate
