If you look at just "unreleased", we actually take up the top 3. :P
Send voice samples if you have any. I'm more likely to contact you sooner if I already know what your voice sounds like.
Because you're not voting for a mod that's unavailable, you're voting for a mod that's up and coming. That's how MoTY works. Those released are all categorized in the running for MoTY, while those unreleased are all categorized into an "Best Unreleased" category. It was like that last year as well.
The name Valeria was already decided before I even got into ASOIAF or the TV series, much in the same way King Emmeric Evers' (The king of Arelia) name was decided far before TESO went out and announced the Breton King is nammed Emeric. A few friends of mine have pointed the similarity as well, however, I have never once considered changing the name. While it may be similar, the original reasonings/established lore as to why the city is called Valeria is (of course) different. Could go into a whole segment, but either way, the name's the name, and Valeria is here to stay.
Ah, I think I see what you mean. Palon is just in charge of the enlisted forces. He's doesn't command the entirety of the army, just those who aren't officers, as he's the highest ranking official right below an officer.
Low? Not really understanding what you mean.
Thanks! Worked like a charm! I'll be sure to fill out that survey when I finish.
Is there a way to edit screen resolution out of game? I have a 1600x900 monitor, and unfortunately that's not one of the available resolution choices.
Gotta love them Native Instruments.
I lol'd.
Except it wasn't even a model. It's just concept art, which is never completely indicative of what it will actually look like in the final thing, that showed armor in a HEV Suit design that apparently (according to other comments), isn't even the Hazard Course's to begin with. Not to privy on HEV designs stuff myself, but either way, I have to agree with you (and pretty much all the other comments), on the ridiculousness of this.
Even if it's an April Fools joke (given the day), it's a really crappy one. If it isn't a joke, then it's a sad day for modders everywhere.
Saw we had a bunch of hits yesterday. Sorry if we mislead anyone into thinking we had something new up, we were just updating mod info (mostly profile stuff). We are still continually working on Ethas though, and while it'll be later than sooner till our next update, we can't wait to show all what we've been working on since we completed the trailer!
As Ethas is a mod for Skyrim, yes you will have to own Skyrim, very much like you'd have to own Skyrim to play any other mod for it.
I was personally unaware of TE's lawsuit against WB. I hope everything works out for you guys. Everyone on the Ethas team is rooting for you!
I would love to see MERP come back. Everyone on the team actually voted for it when they had the 2012 ModDB awards going on. And thanks!
I think I mistated when I said "loot", as I get the feeling I ended up portraying it in too much of general sense. Most of Ethas's loot will be randomized as in Skyrim, what we're more focused on is the reward aspect and actually rewarding the player with something worthwhile. Prime example; What do you get at the end of the civil war quest line in Skyrim? An sword. Not even a special one, just some random leveled sword. If you don't use a sword, then it has no real value to you, as you essentially just did all that questing to get a piece of junk. With the playstyles, your rewards will be more geared to how you actually play the game. Most of the time in Skyrim, you just get useless junk that you can't even sell of because no merchant in Skyrim has the gold to buy it. So you're always getting left over with just more and more useless junk. The playstyle reward system aims to actually give worthwhile rewards, so it dosen't feel like all your work has been pointless. However, if you're the type the wants to have their rewards complelty randomized, then having that as an option is no problem at all.
Ethas will be completely open world. Also, I remember Nerhim being completely open world as well, it just had set leveling in locations.
Ethas will only have English voice acting. Initially, it will only have English subtitles as well, but we will be fully supporting different language translations for Ethas after it's release.
Yes, Maeriil will actually be the healing companion. I'll actually add a brief little description to each companion to explain that.
Uh, I think I accidently deleted the comment you replied to. Oops.
edit; Oh wow, this is weird, moddb is randomly making comments disappear and combining them.
But those are the important parts D:
Is that including the stuff I've done with the Wasteland, Rilekarth, and expanding Virardan's nothern border? Because most of the time when you calculate that stuff, you tend to just base that off what's been done in Arelia and south-western Virardan with the Great Valley. :P
It links to the Development Team page on ModDB, just like the article says it does. :P
A few months behind but wow, this looks good. Did you do all the modeling/texturing for the architecture yourself?
